Candle magick isone of the easiest and commonly used types of magick these days andis made use of in spells and as a part of meditation, scrying,divination, etc. If it is to work for you, you need to believe inthe energy of the candle. Also called sympathetic magick, candlemagick is an early tradition among Wiccans.

Candle magick can be found through theirhistory. From the time when human beings realized fire, they werein astonishment of its power. They wanted to utilize that power. Wecarry on this early custom when we practice candle magick.

That would bethe blowing out a birthday candle.

Candle magick is greatly desired by Witches.Usually used in magick making, candles are associated with the fireelement. They speak a magickal language, the words being expressedby the flickering and dancing of the candle flame, the billowing ofthe smoke, and the popping of the hot wax. Candles chatter, and thedirection of the flame denotes magickal communication. Just sittingin a room lit only by a few candles or several creates thismystical, magickal experience as the flame of the candle dances inthe darken room. In ones temple, lit candles set the mysticalatmosphere for what is to transpire that night.

There are many questions on the art of candlemagick. This book will show the different techniques in successfulcandle magick using feathers, rattles, oils, crystals and parchmentpaper. It will teach a simple, yet successful way in burningcandles and candle magick. Your candle magick can be veryceremonial or very simple. Sometimes, simpler is better.

When doing candle magick, leave an openingfor Gods and Goddesses to make their decision. It is also a goodidea to set a time limit for you candle magick for it happen. If itdoes not, then do it again. Remember, sometimes you just might notget your wish. It may not because you failed in your magick, butbecause it is not in the cards for you.

Then again, when your magick does work, donot forget to thank the Gods and Goddess. Have the feeling of howit feels when something great happens and put that same feelinginto the next candle magick you do.

How Does Candle Magick Work?

Candle magick is essentially sympatheticmagick, which is a principle that channels the power of attractionor like attracts like. For most experts and practitioners, candleburning is a means in which an individual focuses their energy andwill in order to manifest their greatest dreams and desires. Whilemost of the uninformed public relate candle burning rituals andceremonies to that of black magick or dark magick, but that is notwhat candle burning practices are made for.

There are many different methods available toan individual interested in learning more about candle magick, andthey can usually be performed using two methods:

The simple method is performed by lighting acandle in a quiet area and concentrating intensely on what youdesire while chanting a simple key phrase or phrases over and over.This can last for as short or as long as an individual needs it tobe.

There may be a lot of preparation anddifferent tools such as herbs, oils and such that will help achievethe level of concentration he or she desires. Using this method mayalso last for a number of days or weeks, depending on the desire ofthe person.

The color of a candle has an effect such asblue as it soothes and cool, green for money and fertility, red forlove and strength. However, when in doubt, it is always a goodpractice to just use the color white as substitute for all of thecolors. In addition, it is important that an unused candle be litup as not to signify the message of purity in the ceremony.
