INTRODUCTION:
A CHAT WITH ZOLAR
The tissue of Life to be
We weave with colors all our own.
And in the field of Destiny
We reap as we have shown.
JOHN GREENLEAF WHITTIER
Here we are again!
How very quickly the time passes.
It seems like only yesterday that I wrote my last book, Mastermind Consciousness.
Now we come to yet another level of understanding.
When the Great Master said there were many mansions (John 14:2), he was reminding us that there is never a single road to Truth!
To support this idea of the new universality of Truth teachings and their connection with esoteric Christianity, many students suggest that Jesus was actually referring to our current Aquarian Age in the following description:
Behold, when ye are entered into the city, there shall a man meet you, bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he entereth in. (Luke 22:10)
In Mystical Bible Interpretation, the word city means our collection of thoughts, while the word house symbolizes our individual consciousness in which we live.
In other words, we are instructed to take the teachings of the Aquarian Agewhose symbol, or glyph, is a man carrying a water pitcherinto our consciousness.
Not a single day passes when a new revelation, a new book, a new technique emerges, telling us how we may enter into that house. Surely, there have never been so many isms, so many self-help groups, so many seminars to teach us how to become that which we already are as right now in this so-called New Age!
For you see, in truth, as I have alluded to in my many writings, there can never really be a new age, since all that exists consists of the same, old Spirit! (Readers are encouraged to check out Thomas Trowards Edinburgh Lectures on Mental Science.)
Exactly what is happening to create these new ideas?
Simply this... just as a wheel shows no preference to which portion of its circumference touches the ground at a given moment in time, but rather simply allows each part to have its turn, so too do each of the signs and astrological ages have their moment to touch ground.
Each astrological age is said to reign for about 2,000 years, bringing with it unique characteristics. Truly, it may be said that the monastery or ashram of the Piscean Age has been replaced by todays television set. Hence any organization that in essence is monastic, or secret, will find it hard going in this age whose glyph is the free pouring out of the waters of consciousness!
One need only to look to the Catholic Churchs extensive advertising campaign for new priests, or the never-before public advertising of the Masonic Order, to verify this statement.
No longer must one drop out and go to an Indian ashram to find Truth. Your local bookstore may have all the truth you may need, or at least may be able to handle! Hence Truth, like sunshine, is all around us.
It is simply a question of carpe diem... seizing the day (and the Truth) and making it ours.
So it is that I have chosen to approach the subject of Color magick from a somewhat Aquarian vantage pointby seeking that single thread that runs through all the rituals, namely the use of color!
Color is natures way of telling us the exact nature of the energy (Spirit) behind every manifestation. Just as there are no accidents in the creative process, there are no chance events in the coloration of everything that exists, even the colors of our food and drink.
I promise you that in the pages to follow you will learn many wondrous things, especially as Walt Whitman once said, You are not all included between your hat and your boots.
So find a comfortable chair and a good reading light, and sit back. Relax and begin the process of allowing color to speak to you.
Look around you and see for the first time what you have been looking at your entire life.
