Project Notes
Read all instructions before beginning this project. Stitch right sides together using a " seam allowance unless otherwise specified.
Cutting
From light blue tonal or solid:
Cut 1 (2" by fabric width) strip.
Cutting
From light blue tonal or solid:
Cut 1 (2" by fabric width) strip.
Subcut strip into 6 (2") A squares.
From light maroon tonal or solid:
Cut 1 (2" by fabric width) strip. Subcut strip into 6 (2") A squares.
From light purple tonal or solid:
Cut 1 (2" by fabric width) strip. Subcut strip into 4 (2") A squares.
From light-medium blue tonal or solid:
Cut 1 (2" by fabric width) strip.
Subcut strip into 6 each 2" B squares and 2" 3" C rectangles.
From light-medium maroon tonal or solid:
Cut 1 (2" by fabric width) strip. Subcut strip into 6 each 2" B squares and 2" 3" C rectangles.
From light-medium maroon tonal or solid:
Cut 1 (2" by fabric width) strip. Subcut strip into 6 each 2" B squares and 2" 3" C rectangles.
From light-medium purple tonal or solid:
Cut 1 (2" by fabric width) strip.
Subcut strip into 4 each 2" B squares and 2" 3" C rectangles.
From medium purple tonal or solid:
Cut 1 (2" by fabric width) strip. Subcut strip into 4 each 2" 3" D and 2" 5" E rectangles.
From medium blue tonal or solid:
Cut 2 (2" by fabric width) strips. Subcut strips into 6 each 2" 3" D and 2" 5" E rectangles.
From medium maroon tonal or solid:
Cut 2 (2" by fabric width) strips.
Subcut strips into 6 each 2" 3" D and 2" 5" E rectangles.
From dark blue tonal or solid:
Cut 2 (2" by fabric width) strips. Subcut strips into 6 each 2" 5" F and 2" 6" G rectangles.
From dark maroon tonal or solid:
Cut 2 (2" by fabric width) strips. Subcut strips into 6 each 2" 5" F and 2" 6" G rectangles.
From dark purple tonal or solid:
Cut 2 (2" by fabric width) strips.
Subcut strips into 4 each 2" 5" F and 2" 6" G rectangles.
From black solid:
Cut 1 (9" by fabric width) strip. Subcut strip into 2 (9") squares; cut each square on both diagonals to make 8 H triangles. Cut 4 (2" by fabric width) binding strips.
Completing the Blocks
To complete one Quarter Log Cabin block, select one each AG piece of the same color.

Trim block to 6" 6", if needed. Figure 5 Repeat steps 16 to make a total of six blue, six maroon and four purple Quarter Log Cabin blocks.
Completing the Runner
Refer to the Assembly Diagram and project photo throughout for positioning of blocks and pieces. Arrange and join the Quarter Log Cabin blocks and H triangles in six diagonal rows; press seams in adjacent rows in opposite directions. Join the rows to complete the runner top; press.
