You could say that if youre not living in the Here and Now youre not living in reality. When youre Futuring, anticipating, or more likely dreading a future event; you do so out of fear. Fear of failure, rejection, looking ridiculous, and so on and so forth. Futuring is never real. Pasting typically involves some form of regret or self badgering, dwelling on past mistakes, poor decisions or some regret. Living Just for Today is living in Reality.
Even if your pasting is pleasant remembering, it includes wishing you were somewhere other than where you really are. Both Pasting and Futuring rob you of the tremendously enjoyable experience of being with your self in the Here and Now, of living Just for Today. Review your day - while planning for tomorrow is important, it is equally important to review this day. Note both your accomplishments and the areas where you fell short.
