Instructions
Cut plastic canvas according to graphs on next page. Stitch topper pieces following graphs, working white Symrna Cross Stitches for borders on sides and top. Work medium blue floss Backstitches when background stitching is completed. Using white throughout Overcast inside edges of top and bottom edges of sides - photo 2Using white throughout Overcast inside edges of top and bottom edges of sides - photo 3 Using white throughout, Overcast inside edges of top and bottom edges of sides. Stitch and Overcast daisy add yellow French Knots where indicated Stitch and - photo 4 Stitch and Overcast daisy; add yellow French Knots where indicated. Stitch and Overcast one sole with rose pink as graphed and one with purple. Reverse remaining two soles, then Continental Stitch and Overcast one with light green and one with blue. Overcast one strap A with peach as graphed and one with purple. Overcast strap B with cream, then work blue Backstitches. Overcast strap C with rose pink then work -inch (0.6cm) long rose pink Turkey Loop Stitches. For each flip-flop, using strap yarn color, attach thong of strap to sole where indicated with yellow star. Using sole yarn color, attach ends of strap to back of sole where indicated with yellow hearts. Using photos as guides through step 9, attach daisy to purple strap with white yarn, or glue if desired. Glue blue pompom to cream strap. Tie white ribbon in a multi-looped bow; glue to peach strap. Stitch pieces following graphs, working uncoded area with blue background in sandstone Continental Stitches and uncoded areas with white background in camel Continental Stitches. When background stitching is completed, work Christmas green Straight Stitches for apple leaves, passing over each leaf two times. Cross Stitch cheeks with 2 strands medium shell pink embroidery floss. Work very dark beige brown embroidery for straw. Use black pearl cotton for all remaining embroidery, passing over scarecrows eyes four times; work Straight Stitches on both sides of each apple leaf. Wrap needle one time for French Knot at bottom of middle apple.

Using cinnamon throughout, Overcast inside edges of top and bottom edges of front, back and sides. Whipstitch front and back to sides, then Whipstitch front, back and sides to top.
