Cucumber mask This cucumber mask is a great remedy for sunburn and will also help to tighten the skin and smooth out fine lines. Prepare and apply three times a week. Ingredients: 1 small cucumber, peeled and de-seeded 60 ml of chamomile tea, steeped and strained 60 ml of green tea, steeped and strained 1 packet of unflavoured gelatin 30 ml of aloe vera gel Preparation: Puree the cucumber until it becomes a paste, then strain it through a sieve. Combine the green tea, chamomile tea and gelatin in a saucepan over a low flame. When the gelatin dissolves, pour the liquid into a glass bowl, then add the cucumber juice and aloe vera gel. When cool, place in the refrigerator for 25 minutes, or until the mixture starts to thicken.
Spread over your face and neck, and leave to dry before rinsing off with tepid water. Maple syrup mask Ingredients: 1 tablespoon of maple syrup Preparation: Maple syrup is one of the best moisturisers around. Apply it as a face mask or even use it as a conditioner. When buying maple syrup, make sure you select one thats 100% pure. Mediterranean skin freshener This easy-to-make formula lightens age spots, evens out skin tone, diminishes lines and helps remove the top layer of dead skin cells. Ingredients: cup of Chianti wine 1 cup of thick natural yoghurt Preparation: Whisk the ingredients together and rub into your face as well as heels, knees and elbows.
Leave it on for about fifteen minutes, then rinse off with water that has a splash of Chianti in it. Pat dry. Traditionally, Arabic women follow this treatment up with olive oil as a moisturiser. Store any remaining mix in the refrigerator for no longer than two days. Peach face pack Ingredients: 1 medium sized peach, peeled and de-stoned 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar Preparation: Puree the peach, then add the apple cider vinegar enough to form a smooth paste. Mix well and apply on your face. Leave on for about 20 minutes before rinsing off. It will leave you with a wonderful glow, and is a great moisturiser and skin firmer as well. Rose and cinnamon facial mask Ingredients: 2 teaspoons of crushed almonds 1 teaspoon of powdered rose petals 4 teaspoons of fullers earth clay 1 teaspoon of crushed nutmeg 1 tablespoon of rose water Preparation: Mix all the ingredients together and leave to stand for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, steam your face by draping a towel over your head and shoulders and standing over a basin of hot water.
Finally, apply the mixture and leave it on for about 20 minutes. Repeat this treatment twice a month and youll have clear, beautiful skin. Lemon and honey face mask This treatment works wonders for oily skin, as lemon is a natural exfoliator and astringent. Ingredients: 4 tablespoons of Argiletz clay 2 teaspoons of lemon pulp 2 teaspoons of honey 2 drops of jojoba oil 2 teaspoons of water Preparation: Mix all the ingredients together and apply to your face. Leave on for 15 minutes, then rinse off with tepid water. Finally, apply moisturiser, and if youre going outdoors, sunscreen.

Ingredients: 34 tablespoons of fullers earth clay 810 ground mint leaves 34 teaspoons of distilled water Preparation: Mix the ingredients into a paste and chill in the refrigerator overnight.
Thaw out the next morning and smooth liberally over your face. When dry, rinse off with tepid water. Olive oil and oatmeal mask This one is especially good for blemished or oily skin. Ingredients: 1 egg white cup of cooked oatmeal 1 teaspoon of olive oil A few drops of lemon juice Preparation: Mix all the ingredients well and spread thickly onto your face and neck. Leave for 1530 minutes, then rinse off with tepid water. This is great for treating blackheads and for tightening up your skin.
Honey and egg mask Ingredients: 1 egg yolk 1 teaspoon of honey 1 teaspoon of olive oil A few drops of Vitamin E oil Preparation: Blend all the ingredients together and spread liberally over your face and neck. Leave on for 30 minutes, then rise off with warm water. If your skin is very dry, you can add a little more olive oil to the blend. Peppermint pack Peppermint refreshes and cools the skin. Its a powerful ingredient in acne medication and is great for opening up the pores. Ingredients: 1 tablespoon of milk 1 drop of peppermint oil 3 teaspoons of distilled water tablespoons of kaolin clay Preparation: Mix all the ingredients together and apply to your face.

It contains Vitamin A, which heals skin, Vitamin C, an anti-oxidant, and zinc, which soothes the skin and opens up pores. Ingredients: 2 teaspoons of cooked or canned pumpkin, pureed teaspoon of honey teaspoon of milk If you have dry skin, add teaspoon of whipping cream to the blend; if you have oily skin, add teaspoon of apple cider. Preparation: Combine all the ingredients and blend well. Smooth over your face, avoiding the eye area.

Kiwi face pack Kiwi is another fruit thats good for firming up skin and improving its elasticity. Its similar to lemon in that it contains Vitamin C. Ingredients: 1 kiwi fruit 1 teaspoon of honey Preparation: Peel the kiwi fruit and puree in a blender before draining off the excess liquid through a sieve. Mix with the honey and apply. Leave on for 20 minutes before rinsing off with warm water.
