Beeswax Sunscreen Lotion
Beeswax is great for your skin and provides necessary protection for your skin.
Yield: 1 cup
Time: 20 min
Ingredients:
- Beeswax (SPF 15, 1 tbsp)
- Jojoba oil (SPF 4, 1/3 cup)
- Flowers of Zinc (SPF 20, 2 tbsp)
- Antioxidant (1 tsp)
- Aloe Vera Gel (SPF 20, 2 tbsp)
- Water (1/2 cup)
- Grapefruit Seed Extract = (Ten Drops)
- Favorite Essential Oil (Up to thirty drops)
Directions:
1. Stir in the first three ingredients into a double saucepan.
2. Warm slowly until wax melts keep the heat medium.
3. Remove from heat then add the fourth component.
4. In a separate pot gently heat the fifth then sixth ingredients on the stove until it is lukewarm. You can microwave oven too. Heating the mixture is pertinent.
5. Otherwise, the ingredients of your homemade sunblock can separate shortly.
6. Slowly pour this mixture into the oil. Keep stirring and whisking until it is thick and sleek.
7. Stir in the seventh and eight ingredients in this solution.
8. Pour this DIY sun block lotion into a clean, sterilized PET plastic bottle. You can also use a dark glass jar.
9. Let it cool down then put on the lid.
10. Keep in the refrigerator. Shake the bottle sometimes because it prevents the ingredients from separating.
Sunscreen Lotion Bars
These sunscreen bars are perfect for those days on the go.
Yield: 1 cup
Time: 20 min
Ingredients:
- Vegetable Oil (SPF 20, 1/3 cup, melted)
- Shea Butter (SPF 4-6, 1/3 cup)
- Beeswax (SPF 15, , grated, tightly packed)
- Flowers of Zinc (SPF 20, uncoated, 2 tbsp)
- Optional: cocoa powder and vitamin E
Directions:
1. Gently melt the first three ingredients into a double saucepan. Stir them thoroughly mixed.
2. Remove from heat then add the fourth component.
3. Add the optional ingredients.
4. Pour into the molds.
5. Allow to chill into the refrigerator before removing from the molds.
6. Rub one bar onto your skin then massage in before going out in the direct sunlight.
7. These bars can soften under the sunlight. If you want to take them to beach with you, put them into a portable cooler.
Shea Butter Sunscreen
This Shea Butter Sunscreen will leave your skin radiant and protected.
Yield: 1 cup
Time: 20 min
Ingredients:
- Shea Butter (SPF 4-6) = Two ounces
- Coconut Oil (SPF 4-6) = Two ounces
- Flowers of Zinc (SPF 20) = One ounce
- Optional: favorite essential oil peppermint (SPF 6-7),
- eucalyptus (SPF 2-3), and lavender (SPF 5-6) essential oils only (eight drops)
Directions:
1. Soften the first two ingredients together using a pan or a double saucepan until they melt completely. Remove from heat.
2. Stir in the third component wearing a face mask as you are not supposed to inhale it. Pour this DIY lotion into a clean jar.
3. Let it cool before use.
Easy Beeswax Sunscreen
Here we have yet another version of Beeswax sunscreen; this one even easier than the last.
Yield: 1 cup
Time: 20 min
Ingredients:
- Beeswax (SPF 15, 1 oz)
- Carrier Oil (almond (SPF 4-5) or jojoba (SPF 4) essential oils (8 oz)
- Zinc Oxide (SPF 20, 1 oz)
Directions:
1. First step is to melt the first ingredient then add the remaining ingredients to it. Let it cool down.
2. Store into a clean container then place into the refrigerator.
Zinc Infused Sunscreen
Now you can use this simple home-made sunscreen to get your regular zinc serving.
Yield: 1 cup

Ingredients:
- An unscented lotion
- Zinc Oxide (SPF 20)
Directions:
1. Prepare into your favorite body lotion bottle. Lotion bottle must be unscented.
