ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Kimber McGray has always been a crafter of some kind since she was a young child.
She found her way into scrapbooking through a friend who pushed her for well over a year. Once she began to play with the papers and tools we all know and love, there was no turning back. She jumped in with two feet and has enjoyed every moment of it. Over the last three years, Kimber has been fortunate to have been published in all the major scrapbooking and card making publications. She was also inducted into the 2007 Creating Keepsakes Hall of Fame. Kimber finds time to create the pages that fill her albums when shes not making the memories with her husband and two children in her hometown of Carmel, Indiana.
ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
As I am sitting here writing, I am wishing that my husband, Bill, could be here with me. He is currently serving a tour in Iraq. He continually expresses his extreme confidence in me, which has allowed me to find the strength to complete this project even in his absence.
Writing this book has actually spurred more creative time for me and my children, Andrew and Laura. They have sat right next to me and played with my stamps and inks while I was trying to figure out how to do certain techniques. It is so refreshing to see my kids play, and know there are no mistakes in crafting and not to be afraid to try something new.
To my friends who have seen me through this whole process, I would never have considered pursuing a book idea without your help. Tara Tuck gave me the push to try for a proposal, and Sherry Steveson gave me the tools to get the proposal on paper and held my hand through the process. Kim Moreno and Summer Fullerton created at a drop of a hat for me when I needed just one more project to fill a spot in the book.
To my wonderful contributors, who not only contributed their secrets for me to use in the book, but the art that went along to support it. Without you guys, this book would have been half of what it is.
Finally, to the amazing people who put this book together. To Christine Doyle, thank you for giving me the chance and for listening to a few different proposals before settling on this one. I appreciate the open mind and willingness to work with me. To Eileen Aber, for your amazing ability to organize and keep me straight with paperwork. And finally to Kristin Boys, your patience and ease to work with made this project very enjoyable. You worked your magic wand in more than one instance to polish my work into this beautiful book.
Thank you all for your hard work on this project! I have enjoyed it more than I could have ever imagined.
