A tech entrepreneur at heart, D S Aman 's tryst with technology began with building computer games when he was in 8th Grade. He never looked back ever since. After working with many startups across the world while he was in his first year of college, he founded two startups in his 2nd and 3rd year.

His recent success was HighApe that became a multi-million dollar business and Indias leading experience discovery platform. Aman has also worked as Consulting CTO for early-stage Blockchain and Ed-Tech startups, helping them build and scale their business globally. He has even enabled thousands of students to enter the field of web development through his courses on Udemy and his YouTube channel.

Currently, he is the Head of Product and Technology for a new disruptive eyewear business vertical at Lenskart, thereby taking eyewear access to the next 500 million Indians.

Vaibhav Lall is a storyteller in many avatars, be it writing a fictional manuscript or scrapping out a multi-million dollar entrepreneurial venture from scratch.

The journey began in 2011 with a freelance writing project for some extra pocket money, and the spark deftly transformed into an endless affair with wordplay and the magic it withholds. Leading the editorial board in early-stage startups Rise for India, HighApe, and Top Brands and Products, Vaibhav assimilated the nuances and intricacies of multiple writing styles and formats.

Currently, his team at Cuemath a google backed ed-tech company is channeling the creative energy towards dishing out the best content pieces for its global audience.

Being fortunate enough to do what he loves the most as a full-time job, coming from an engineering background, Vaibhav fancies the power of storytelling.

Having always enjoyed teaching, when presented the opportunity to write this book, my immediate response was Yes. Although honestly, I assumed it to be an easy-peasy affair but writing a book for kids turned out to be more challenging and more rewarding than I imagined. And this accomplishment would not have been possible without the help of people who form an integral part of my life.

I would first like to thank my parents and sister for always believing in me and for their constant motivation whenever I took the plunge to try something new. Instead of putting the brakes on for things that admittedly were sometimes stupid, they always took pride and motivated me to reach new heights.

I would also like to thank many of my friends who have always been around. My college friends, especially Abhishek Sharma, who helped me cope with my college studies while I was lost in the fantasy world of technology and startups. My school friends, Vaibhav Lall and Prasun Kumar, who joined me in my journey of building startups, which enabled me to learn so much about different technologies. And Ankita Singh, who always stood firmly by my side, providing unwavering support.

This book covers the exciting technology of WordPress that powers more than 40% of websites on the Internet. With simple steps, a lot of screenshots, and real-world examples, this book makes it very easy for kids to start making websites using WordPress.

The book takes a practical approach toward website development. As we move forward in the book, we start creating a website of our own, which we keep improving with each chapter. By the end of the book, we create a beautiful website with a lot of features and functionalities.

The book is divided into 18 chapters. Each chapter covers an aspect of WordPress that would assist us in understanding this technology better. The details of the chapters are listed as follows:

We will also see a few major websites based on WordPress, which will further motivate us to learn this CMS system.

We will set a name for the website, complete the basic configuration, and explore the various options available on the dashboard. We will understand the purpose of a dashboard and how it will help us build our website without writing any code!

will cover User management features on WordPress, which will provide us control over our website. We will learn, step by step, how to add our friends and family to the WordPress dashboard so that they can work alongside us to help us out. We will explore different levels of permissions and what they are meant for.

will cover a few basic terminologies that are very common in the field of web development. We will explore terms like Header, Footer, Menu, Body, and Hyperlinks. We will use various analogies in this chapter to easily understand the meaning of these terms.
