Preface
The purpose of this book is to help kids, parents, and coaches learn the game of basketball. Too often, players go out to practice on their own and do not know what to door how to do it. They simply go to their backyard and shoot the basketballand, at that, shoot it incorrectly or without actually accomplishing much. Parents often want to help their kids to become better basketball players, but they do not know what to teach, how to teach it, and how to make sure that the youngster is practicing the skill the correct way. Many coaches simply take the job because no one else will do it. They have to rush to the library and try to find several books to help them teach the basic skills of the game.
This book will help in all of these situations.
No matter if the youngster is eight or eighteen, there are drills, activities, and pictures in the book to explain all the skills necessary to take a kid and help him or her become an actual basketball player. Even a youngster can pick up the book and see how the correct skills of the game are to be practiced.
Coaches can use the book not only to teach skills but also to learn how to set up and run a practice sessionwith or without a gymto address parents' concerns, and to make the game fun for kids. No matter if you are a coach of a youth league team, junior high, or high school team, there is something for you in
