Chocolate Chip Cookies The soft and chewy standard cookie that everyone can enjoy! Ingredients 1 Cup Butter (softened) 1 Cup Brown Sugar 1/2 Cup Sugar 1 tsp. Vanilla 1 Egg 2 Cups Flour 1 tsp. Baking Soda tsp.

Salt 1 12oz Bag of Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips 1 Cup Nuts (optional) Directions 1. Preheat oven to 350 F. 2. Combine the first 4 ingredients until light and fluffy. 3. Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt until fully incorporated.

Stir in chips and nuts (optional). 4. Drop by large spoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet. 5. Bake 8-10 minutes. Tip: You can easily form these into bars by placing in a 13x9x2 baking pan and cooking for 25 minutes.

Makes: 4 dozen cookies Time: 20 minutes

Cream butter and sugar together until fluffy. Continue mixing and add eggs and vanilla; beat well. 3. In a separate bowl combine all of the dry ingredients. Then gradually mix in the dry ingredients into the wet. 4.

Stir the chips and nuts into the dough with a spoon. Form cookies and place on an ungreased cookie sheet 2 inches apart. 5. Bake one cookie sheet at a time for 8-9 minutes. Note the cookies will be very soft. Tip: Do not over bake these cookies.

  6. Bake for 8-10 minutes. Let cool, and then dip in chocolate topping.
Chocolate Topping
  1. Melt the chocolate chips and shortening in the microwave until you can mix them together easily and it is smooth.
  2. Dip the tops of the cooled cookies in the chocolate.
Tip: You can top the cookies with chopped peanuts over the chocolate while the chocolate is still warm. Chill the cookies until the chocolate sets.

Beat peanut butter and butter together until creamy. Add confectioners sugar, vanilla, and salt. 2. 2.
