About the Author
Ginnie Siena Bivona is a quiet, reasonably well-behaved (sort of), suburban matron. She has been teaching and writing under the nom de plume of the "Invisible Chef" for a number of years (she says 106, but I don't believe her). She is the mother of three boys, and two girls (which may account for the wild streak!). Her children are all grown and flown (thank God! she says), and she lives right down the street from her grandson (he calls her "Mimi" and knows nothing about her seductive side). She is a business owner and is active in several civic and social organizations.

Acknowledgements
Well, of course, first there's Catherine Pressler. Without her extraordinary editorial skills, and her unflagging determination (in spite of me) to make sure that every detail was exactly as it should be, there would be no book. It was her willingness to slave for long hours over a hot computer that produced the manuscript. And she is one of the few people in the world who can sort out my rather creative spelling. I would be remiss if I tell you all this without adding that she is one of the most talented of pastry chefs. Her experience and training were an invaluable asset to this book.
But I must give credit where credit is due. If it were not for my beloved eldest daughter, Stephanie, this book would never have happened. It was her idea. She must have grown up with a devious mind. God only knows where she got it from!
The charming couple who grace the cover are, I am mighty proud to tell you, my beloved youngest daughter, "Biz" (Elizabeth), and her handsome husband, Todd Haddock. And, if that is not enough, the photography was done by my beloved eldest son, Mark Davis. Nepotism run rampant! I love it!
In addition, I must thank Gingiss Formalwear for Todd's tuxedo, and Marty Neiman, of One Night Affair, for Biz's beautiful dress.
Last, but certainly not least, a sincere and heartfelt thanks to Wally Chariton, of Wordware Publishing, for his willingness to take a chance on an unknown, unpublished, and only slightly off-center chef!
I had a lot of fun writing this book. I do hope you have as much fun reading (and using!) it.
Enjoy!

By the way, if you've ever wondered about extra-virgin olive oil... let me assure you... each and every olive squoze for extra-virgin has been examined and certified as to its absolute purity and exemplary behavior by a special envoy from the Vatican. I have it on the closest authority.
