GREG GROWDEN is one of Australias leading sports journalists. For more than three decades he was a senior sportswriter with The Sydney Morning Herald. He spent many summers sitting next to Bill OReilly, covering Sheffield Shield and Test cricket for the SMH, before becoming in 1986 the newspapers chief rugby union writer.
He was the SMH and Sun-Heralds chief rugby union correspondent between 1987 and 2012, but has always retained a strong cricket interest.
Between 2012 and 2018, he left the SMH to become the Australian rugby correspondent for ESPN. In February, 2019, he returned to the SMH as a sporting columnist.
This is his fourth cricket-related book.
