For most of his life, Robin had dealt with severe depression but was recently diagnosed with Parkinsons disease (Soo Youn, 2014). He continued to have a paranoia that haunted him to his grave.

In spite of his history of depression, Williams was never suicidal before and did not indicate that he was going to go through with the act.
Robin Williams was a legend, who continues to have a special place in history. His hand has been engraved in the world of comedy so that he will always be remembered for making people laugh. His career led to a successful bridge between film and television. However, although he was incredibly successful and lived a life that one would think was amazing and fruitful, there was a lot to Robins life that wasnt so rosy and perfect. A troubled childhood left its scar deeply embedded into the psychology of Robin, which caused him to have a difficult time accepting himself and his place in the world. He constantly craved attention. The world of Hollywood and stand-up comedy gave him all that. And yet, even at the end of all of it, he felt an empty mindset to end it all with his suicide.

This journey through the biography of Robin Williams requires us to go deep into the childhood feelings of abandonment that he struggled with. We want to plunge into what was making Robin feel left out and how he spent his entire life looking for the validation and affection of others. Through his addictions to cocaine, alcohol, and sex, he seemed to try to mask all the insecurities deep within his soul. Indeed, Robin was a troubled person, and although he seemed to be together on stage, he fell apart when the camera wasnt on or when he was backstage.
Deep within the mind of Robin was a person who was desperate to find meaning in his life. In spite of all the accolades that he achieved, Robin would not be able to find the true joy that he deserved after a full life and career. A deep sense of shame and loneliness seemed to haunt him all the way to his lonely death in his home in California.

Within this book is found a perspective of mental health. Although a writer could focus on all the successes of Robin, what is most fascinating is his story through the lens of what was an undiagnosed but recognized manic depression that haunted him from early childhood to death. Behind the masks of theatre and charades, there was a man who was struggling to live a normal life, because he had not received adequate treatment for manic depression. All the while, he continued to live as if comedy and laughter were the only solutions to his darkened soul.
Come with us to experience the depth of the human mind, soul, and body of Robin Williams. By examining him through the eyes of an anthropologist or psychologist, we can see what truly made him the great person he was but also what weakened him fundamentally. He was not Superman. No man can be. Although he had superhuman abilities to memorize and extemporize on stage, he was limited as a human being. Therefore, let us see the humanity behind the mask, the common man that is within Robin Williams, not the movie star, but the true man within him. That is what is the most fascinating thing to do. We hope that you will enjoy it as we go deep into his life, his mind, and his heart, because we can also find the deeper parts of who we are in Robin, as though we see ourselves in the mirror.
