It is believed that the 2nd Burma Rifles were awarded two DSOs, one MBE, one Order of Burma, seven Military Crosses, twenty-one Burma Gallantry Medals (equivalent to the Distinguished Conduct Medal or the Indian Order of Merit) and twenty-seven Mentions in Despatches. In addition to the list of awards prepared by Wingate in the summer of 1943, others such as the MBE for Ken Spurlock did not appear in the London Gazette until long after their release from captivity in June 1946. The author would be pleased to hear of any additions or amendments.
