Indias Maladies: summary, description and annotation

We offer to read an annotation, description, summary or preface (depends on what the author of the book "Indias Maladies" wrote himself). If you haven't found the necessary information about the book — write in the comments, we will try to find it.

India is a lumbering, elephantine State that cannot be expected to pivot around its heels, irrespective of the

capability, intentions and skills of its present mahout. That may explain why it took 67 long years to resurrect

prime minister-ship by electing for the first time a deserving astute down to earth eminently-suited politician who

had tasted poverty and hard work and seems to be the one to relate to citizens aspirations and needs. He possesses

vision and necessary will to transform a fledgling country into a mega economy and world power.

This Book is based on material collected from various sources and kinds of information conventional, modern, technological, oral history or otherwise. Oral history is known to provide insight into the history that is obscure, forgotten willfully or genuinely, suppressed or distorted by rulers purposefully. No doubt Columbia University opened a separate department for Oral History. In any country there is no dearth of the patriots offering authentic peep into the past. Only issue(s): they must be located. With PM Modi being on the scene since 26 th May 2014, their number is increasing as if they are coming out of hibernation! The objective of writing this book was to give a birds eye view of the of the circumstances leading to the present scenario impacting my people and also to showcase some of the numerous burning problems we face today in Hindustan even 72 years after attaining independence from Britain although the real freedom from mental slavery is yet to be attained.

I owe a deep sense of gratitude to numerous well-wishers and my all well-meaning friends who have ever been cajoling, challenging, coaxing and thereby amplifying to arouse a true sense of duty inside me to jot down something important or worthwhile for posterity. Nations are built over time. Unlike bulk of my compatriots, nationalism is my credo. To me, my country, India comes first and foremost. My only regret remains I started writing rather late in life during my 60s. They say better late than never. My motivation has ever been from my own biological daughter who left the motherland in her early 20s; and my godson living close by in the metropolis and financial capital of India Bombay now known as Mumbai. And through them, their spouses and their children or my grandkids. I owe lot of gratitude to my friends and contemporaries for their sane advice, contribution and feedbacks from time to time.
Let me express my gratitude to my publishers, Global Summit House. It all started with a call from Ms. Jessica Santos, Marketing/Advertising Manager sometime during the Fall season in 2018. She spoke well and apprised me of republishing of books. Jessica prodded me to get book(s) republished through her organization. I chose to write afresh. And hence the time taken to complete the manuscript. I am grateful to Ms. Karen Smith and Ms. Andrea Gilberts for reminding me from time to time to complete my works. Last but not the least my thanks are due to Ms. Yvonne Johnson for helping me out to complete CORRECTIONS FORM.

Man keeps on learning till he is alive. Avid reading contemporary international news, books and literature has always kept me informed on the current happenings all around the universe. However, trying to indulge in dispassionate analysis, and reading in between the lines on mainstream and social media gives one an insight into the global climate and environment. Sifting information to arrive at the truth remains a paramount necessity. MSM in India as its counterparts in America and some other democracies is anti-establishment. Both the media leave no opportunity in denigrating their Chief Executive. Making money at the cost of fooling generally gullible public is the norm for news and TV channels. The comparative degree of honesty and nationalism and patriotism is different in the oldest as compared to the largest democracy of the world. Our Indian medias are highly corrupt and perform antinational acts in the garb of freedom of speech and expression aided and abetted by nonexistence of checks and balances or a defined Code of Conduct and judicial inadequacies. Our courts take enormous time to decide their even simple cases so much so that a person may die awaiting the verdict. This makes India into a bizarre free for all Demonocracy where one can obtain any verdict to ones liking provided, he/she has the resources to influence or buy judgment of his liking.
Hindustan belongs to the oldest civilization of the world that has existed since tens of millennia BCE. Hinduism is the oldest religion. Its members or Hindus are stretching far and wide on the globe. The global perception and image about Hindustan are undergoing a sea change after the swearing in of Narendra Damodardas Modi as the prime minister on 26 th May 2014. Even America starts valuing the importance: It was my great honor to host a celebration of Diwali, the Hindu Festival of Lights, in the Roosevelt Room at the @Whitehouse this afternoon. I welcome very, very special people! [ https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefings-statements/remarks-president-trump-diwali- ceremonial-lighting-Diya/ 4:20 PM - Nov 13, 2018]. Many countries in the Far East attest to the fact that they are/were Hindus. One can find the evidence of this even today. Credit must be given to the largest Muslim country in the world for acknowledging that their ancestors were Hindus. Ramayana is played for a month once in a year in Bali; picture of Lord Ganesh appears on her currency notes; Garuda, the Vahan or the mode of transport of Lord Vishnu, is the national Airline. Ramayana and Mahabharata are two great Hindu epics. Lord Rama is the most revered earliest Hindu god. He was born on 11 th January in the year 5132 BCE. And he was the 17 th king in Suryavanshi Dynasty founded by Rishi Kashyap. Incidentally Kashmir is named after him. This dynasty can be traced down to Mahabharata. There were 51 generations. Ramayana was written by Rishi Valmiki in Ramas times and has been verified by Rama.
There have been concerted efforts first by the British historians to purposely ignore and denigrate the greatness of our culture and most ancient civilization. They were meticulously dishonest in systematically distorting/changing/meddling with our history. First effort was made by British historians: James Smith and Charles Grant when they were hired to write Syllabus of History for Helisbury College. The British colonial masters were cruel, irrational, illogical and rarely followed the laws as practiced in their own country. There are tell-tale evidences of the White peoples atrocities and excesses mostly destructive or even inhuman acts like systematically annihilating the original natives in whichever country they colonized from Americas to Australia.
