Roy Whittaker has had over thirty years' experience as a project manager with extensive specialised knowledge of project management within the chemical industry.
Employed by ICI between 1955 and 1992, he has spent periods in maintenance, construction and the development of computer-aided design. But most of his time has been spent dealing with new capital investment in chemical plant and power stations as design engineer, project engineer, project manager and project group manager. He was responsible for some of ICI's largest projects in the UK and overseas. He has lectured widely including at Durham University Business School and as Honorary Visiting Fellow in Project Management at Cranfield University School of Management.
Roy Whittaker is currently an independent consultant in project management.
