Valerie Raffields dreams are about to come true. Her magazine, MisRule , is ready to launch. Only trouble is, shes struggling to find an editorial designer who understands her vision.

This is a great book. The police drama keeps you enthralled throughout but what I found captivating was the growing affection between the two main characters. Ill give you a million dollars if that green tea Frappuccino is for me, Valerie Raffield said as she hurriedly rounded her glass-top desk to examine one of her three large computer monitors. She gripped a mouse and clicked, examining the latest portfolio to come in from her overflowing inbox of interested graphic designers.
Then get out your checkbook, sista. Cuz this green tea Frap is all yours, Devon, her senior editor, said, setting the drink on her desk along with a straw, which he quickly opened for her. On second thought, I better take a cashiers check. No offense.
She scrolled through the images, only half listening. None taken. She squinted against the bright afternoon sun as it shone through the floor-to-ceiling windows of their second-story office. Around them, outside her glass-walled office, the remainder of the magazine staff scrambled about, busy preparing for the very first issue of MisRule , her brainchild and to date, her most prized endeavor.
Not that youre not good for it, Devon continued, its just, well, we havent even launched yet and theres your green tea Frap addiction, and your obsession with Italian furniture, and your lifelong want for a Maserati
Yeah, yeah, she said, cutting him off. She waved him over and grabbed her drink to take a big pull off the straw. The icy smoothness hit the spot so well she almost rolled her eyes back in her head. Come here. I want you to take a look at these. They just came in. She scrolled through the images and sank into an office chair next to Devon.
