CONTENTS
T HERE IS AN unsettling mood hanging like foreboding storm clouds over North America. This restlessness reminds me of the gusting winds that rattle leaves and bend branches prior to a southern storm sweeping in from the west. From the polished, silver-tongued politicians strutting through the marble halls of Congress to the pin-striped, suit-wearing Wall Street stockbrokers, it seems everyone is concerned about Americas future.
After all, most empires continue for two to three hundred years; then they peak and slowly decline. The major empires of history dont necessarily disappear from the scenemany simply no longer have the power, influence, and economic edge that they once had. They become followers instead of leaders, borrowers instead of lenders, the tail and not the head (Deut. 28:4344).
Where is America moving, and where is the world heading? Who will emerge from among the sea of nations as the survivor and the leader? Will a united Europe rise from the ashes of past wars to become the final empire of history? Or what about the 1.6 billion Muslims throughout the world who for fourteen hundred years have anticipated the last days and the uniting of a final Islamic caliphate empire ruled by their caliph?
Their awaited one will rule the world clutching a sword in one hand and waving a Quran in the other. Are there parallels and similarities between this Islamic expectation and biblical prophecies about the end times? Will the Antichrist be a radical Muslim?
According to the prophets of the Bible, there will arise out of the ocean of humanity a kingdom described by biblical visionaries as the kingdom of the beast. The head of this coalition will unite ten kings and their nations, directing a final assault against Israel, Jerusalem, and the Jews. He will control all buying and selling, and only those who accept his rule, his religion, and his mark will be permitted to purchase and sell goods. (See Revelation 13:1618.)
Before 9/11 no one could see such a kingdom coming in America except a few high-level officials in federal intelligence agencies. Since 9/11, seldom a day passes without an Islamic nation (such as Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, and Pakistan) making headline news. Fanatical Islamic regimes such as Hamas, ISIS, and Hezbollah are spewing fiery rhetoric like flaming swords from their mouths in hopes of spreading their message of Death to the Little Satan, Israel, and death to the Great Satan, America. Where are we headed, and what role does America play on this end-time prophetic stage?
In this informative and prophetically stirring book, The Eighth Kingdom , you will learn:
The end-time predictions of Jesus that havent occurred yetThe Islamic link to the Antichrist and the mark of the beastThe Islamic agenda to silence Christians and the laws the coming Islamic ruler will put into placeThe two most important resources to invest in and other ways to prepare practically and spiritually for the days ahead
In the coming pages I will detail biblical prophecies and Islamic traditions that point to the rise of a coming kingdoman eighth kingdomand a final global dictator who will seize the world. Youll discover that the Bible identifies this man as the Antichrist and that Islam calls the leader of the last caliphate the Mahdi.
I have had several Muslim friends since 1993 with whom I have shared this information. Although they disagree with my final conclusion, they have told me that it really made them think about what the Bible predicts.
There may be Christians with differing opinions and beliefs from what you will read in this book. However, it is my desire to present fresh insight and to challenge a more traditional mind-set about prophetic events. The Lord Himself said, Come now, and let us reason together (Isa. 1:18). Keep reading for a fresh look at the biblical concept of the time of the end (Dan. 8:17).
And he said, Go your way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.
D ANIEL 12:9
T HE PROPHETIC SEERS are at it again. Every time a major event such as a Middle East war, a tsunami, a killer earthquake, or a Katrina-style weather phenomenon strikes the planet, the prophetic teachers and secular soothsayers begin chirping their warnings like birds in April announcing spring has arrived. Since Christ rode a cloud to heaven from the top of the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem, centuries of prophetic preachers and teachers have tried to discern every other cloud of global conflict looming over the horizon as the cloud through which Jesus may return. Are we really in the time of the end, and if we are, just what is the time of the end?
First, the time of the end is not the end of timea phrase often repeated when believers speak about the last days. The phrase end of time is not found in either of the Testaments. Neither is it the end of the world as some suggest. The concept that the world is going to end is a misunderstanding of a verse in the English translation of Matthews Gospel. Christ predicted:
And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
