Acknowledgments
First and foremost, my deepest gratitude goes to Georgia for the privilege of this unusual collaboration. It was never a project I expected or consciously asked for, and yet in addressing the relevant issues in her books, she is throwing invaluable light on the angelic revolution that has puzzled me for over thirty years.
I was fortunate to have Anne Dillon, the editor of two of my previous books with Bear & Company (The Return of the Rebel Angels and Confessions of a Rebel Angel) and who knows my work well by now, to undertake the primary edit on this volume. As before, Im grateful for Annes intelligence, her kindness, and her scrupulous attention to detail. Over the course of preparing this book for publication I also worked with another editor, Chanc VanWinkle Orzell, who brought a fresh, new, and perceptive eye to Georgias narrative. I particularly appreciated Chancs unflagging enthusiasm and wise counsel through the later stages of bringing Revolt of the Rebel Angels to print.
Susan P. Marie, a reader who is also an adept with the pendulum, has become an important asset to the publication of Georgias Confessions. She combs through the manuscripts, sentence by sentence, dowsing the degree of resonant truth to Georgias statements. I then make the necessary adjustments after discussing them with Georgia. Im most grateful for Susans interest and the insights gained from her skill with the pendulum. Its also a credit to Georgia that Susans dowsing has indicated only the most minimal of modifications.
Robert Davis of the Daynal Institute was the first person to recognize the value of Georgias voice and has been a solid support throughout this collaboration. His rare spiritual intelligence, his kindnessRobert is the only person who has read all of Georgias volumes completed to dateand his continuing enthusiasm for this project all mean a great deal to me.
My love and gratitude go again to June Atkin (Juno) my New York City Art Partneror Artner for the neologistfor the graphics we work on together with our Prismacolor pencils, mailing the emerging image back and forth from New York to New Mexico, each adding to it and then sending it back. Ive chosen to include two of these images (plates 3 and 8) for their symbolic relevance to some of Georgias insights. But more than that: Junos intuitive wisdomshe reads Georgias books in manuscript formhas greatly helped Georgia to clarify some of her more obscure statements.
All writers need a few people to have faith in our work and who will read our books just to make sure we are still making sense. Juno is the foremost of a handful of people who are kind enough to review my books prior to publication. Also included in this small group are Daniel Mator, Nikola Wittmer, Edward Mason, Roberta Quist, Gordon Phinn, Rob Drexel, Urszula Bolimowska, and Byron Belitsos of Origin Press. Im most grateful for their intelligent comments and their open-mindedness in reviewing material as unconventional as Georgias Confessions.
Im thrilled Inner Traditions/Bear & Company has chosen to publish Revolt of the Rebel Angels, the second volume of Georgias Confessions. Im most grateful to Jon Graham, the acquisitions editor, for his continuing interest in my work; also Im extremely thankful for the support of John Hays, the director of sales and marketing. While Ive not had the chance to meet in person the publisher, Ehud Sperling; nor have I met Jeanie Levitan, the editor in chief, or Janet Jesso, the managing editor, I really appreciate that they find my work of sufficient value to invest the care and time to make such elegant and readable books. As a graphic designer myself, Im an admirer of Peri Swans evocative cover designs as well as the clarity of Virginia Scott Bowmans text design and layout. Im also most grateful to Manzanita Carpenter and to others I havent met who copy-edit, proofread, design, and market the books with such professionalism.
Ive been most encouraged by Barbara Hand Clows glowing endorsement of Georgias previous book, and I trust this volume also meets her generous appreciation. I feel privileged by Ms. Hand Clows recognition of the value of Georgias narrative.
A big thank you, too, to all those readers whose letters tell me they cant wait for the next volume of Georgias Confessions to emerge. Im glad her words are striking a familiar chord in so many people.
Further acknowledgments must also go to the many personalities, both mortal and celestial, who appear in this narrative. Ive changed a few names for privacys sake, but the events and discussions described here occurred as Georgia perceived and understood them.
Finally, I acknowledge the consistent spiritual support and guidance of my two companion angels Ive named Joy and Beauty, whove contributed so much to smoothing out the rough edges of my life, allowing me the peace and isolation from the humdrum world for this most intimate of writing projects. However, it is the Great Spirit, the Creator we all serve, whether we are celestial or mortal and whether we are aware of it or not, to whom my most heartfelt love and gratitude goes for the opportunity to collaborate in this Great Work of narrative alchemy. I would never have had the courage to delve into the reality of Lucifer and the rebel angels had I not experienced the love of the Creator so firmly in my heart. And, for that, Im supremely grateful.
Note to the Reader
Regarding a Glossary of Terms and the Angelic Cosmology
In this work the author has coined or provided specialized definitions of certain words, some of which are derived from The Urantia Book, a key source text. A complete list of these terms and their meanings has been provided in the glossary at the back of this book for your ready reference. The reader will find a brief overview of the Angelic Cosmology, also drawn from The Urantia Book, in the appendix.
INTRODUCTION
Collaborating with a Discarnate Rebel Angel
When Georgia first made it known that she wanted to collaborate with me on this project, I agreed to do it more for personal reasonsI was fascinated by her dispassionate viewpointthan with any thought of publication. It was a very liberating experience. However, on completing the first volume, Confessions of a Rebel Angel, and as her narrative unfolds, I have realized that she is talking to a wider audience than just me.
I have also come to accept what Georgia has been telling me these last few years: that there are now many tens of millions of fallen rebel angels who have incarnated into human bodies at this key point in human history. There are perhaps now as many as 120 million and more coming in every day.
The reasons for this influx of angels into human form are complex and arcane, and they underlie the basic theme of this story. As a consequence, it seems to me that Georgias insights and revelations have a more general value, especially to other rebel angel reincarnates who are seeking to understand their place in the world. Since so few reincarnates are aware of their angelic heritage and the current era is generally dismissive of other realms of existence, these waves of reincarnates have remained an open secreta secret, if you like, that keeps itself. And quite rightly so. The very point of incarnating as a human being is to fully experience a human lifetime.
The times, however, are no longer simply changingthey have actually changed for many of us. Self-knowledge, even unwelcome self-knowledge, is the key to how each one of us, as individuals, will handle the coming global transformation. Knowing who we truly are, as well as having a basic understanding of the Multiverse and the role our planet is playing within it, will prove to be a vital lifeline in the times ahead.
