DISCLAIMER NOTE
Past-life therapy is not concerned with establishing truths in the external world; it is only concerned with healing negative emotions of the person, which cause problems in his mind. All the past lives, which Dev, the patient saw, have been reported as he spoke about them. We have no evidence to prove whether what he saw was true or not. The subconscious mind records events at the emotional level and it is possible that the images, which came out were not real in the physical, tangible sense but were used by the subconscious mind to explain the feelings he underwent during those lives.
Secondly, the techniques of past-life therapy explained here are traditional and lengthy. The idea of giving the details is to remove the fear of past-life regression or hypnosis from peoples minds so that they can be used for healing the self, much more widely than they are being used now. It is no doubt useful to go to a therapist than try solving all your problems yourself. However, when a therapist is not accessible, there are no side-effects in trusting your own intuition and trying to connect to the spiritual realms.
Thirdly, some popular religions do not believe in past lives, and we are not arguing with them. Past lives do not exist in the literal sense because the soul is energy and energy cant be static in design.

PREFACE
JUST SURVIVE OR BE ALIVE?
THERE HAS BEEN AN eternal debate between the negative and positive energies that combine on Earth to create life in physical form. The debate has over a period of time, turned into a battle of positive and negative energies. The book is being written to defeat the forces of darkness, which seek to crush the spirit of being alive and happy by resisting change in the existing monotonous structures. The war between the dark forces of light, is all about energies and words, that come devoid of weapons. It is instead, fought by the manipulation of energies through use of words and the eventual transfer of dark feelings from one being to another, that are subtly underlined with negativity.
The energies of darkness resist change and growth in thinking. They are manifested in a zeal to succeed mechanically and vehemently protect the way of life that already exists. Hence, they crush anything that seeks to rebel from what is. So the seed of change is crushed before it can bring about change. Dark forces take life as work and work as a chore to be performed. Light workers are the souls who work for creating faith and optimism in human life. They are alive, playful and forever seeking, self-healing and feeling happiness. They find expression in creative activities like writing, dancing, singing, painting, making love, etc.
The critical factor is that they make work a joyful expression of being alive, rather than a sacrifice or a duty. The energies of darkness seek to maintain the existing surface structures, no matter what. Instead of changing core, erroneous foundations, they spread darkness, gloom, emptiness, vacuum and fear. They doubt every leap of faith and instead of trying to break-free from negative clutches, they wait for death as a panacea from the pain of being alive. They take lifes suffering as unavoidable destiny and death as liberation from pain.
The energies of Light seek to accept suffering but as a part of evolution. They learn to let go of material or traditional comforts to stay free and aligned with God. Detachment helps in being optimistic through difficulties in the present. Challenges are overcome with zeal to be non-negative; they give courage to dream and to create anew. The words and not the actions of a person indicate where s/he is vibrating as a soul at different moments of time. If the words depress your spirit, zeal and expression, then the person is speaking from a dark vibration at that point of time, even if s/he may be someone you can trust at other times in life.
Happiness for the soul comes from learning to be immune to dark vibrations such that they dont succeed in making us negative. It is important to not let seeds of doubts passed through casual words of the dark forces, crush our dreams from manifesting. Victory helps our soul be happy because we come on Earth to express the brightness of our spirit, so as to evolve to a higher level of consciousness.
Let us believe in hope over doubt, faith over disillusionment, love over revenge, exaltation over fall, and happiness over compromise.
EVOLUTION OF THE SOUL
It is presumed that we are happier than our ancestors. We seem to have evolved to a better quality of life because the last few centuries have witnessed tremendous advances in technology. However, this has not ensured that we face fewer internal conflicts, depressions or anxieties than earlier times.
Our focus on material advancement has made our pursuit of happiness rather lopsided. For example, buying a car might make us feel good, but that happiness can only be short-lived. This is because material goods do not change the negative energy structure underlying our problems. Therefore, the material object of comfort only serves to shift the focus of our problems momentarily. However, as long as our inner focus remains negative, the pain comes back in another form. For instance, after buying the car we may start worrying about its instalments, its maintenance, traffic congestions, etc.
