It all started one morning

I t had never happened to me before. I woke up with an idea for a new book in my head. I dont like cults of any kind. I think they are a bit much. Theyre not my cup of tea. Probably because to me FREEDOM is a very precious thing. But, as an experiment, what if we could brainstorm the best ways to create a highly successful Uber Cult? The cult of cults. By doing so we could create an antidote to them. Perhaps

You see I have noticed cult communication styles becoming more and more common in wider society. That is a very bad thing indeed.

If I could lay out what a fake cult could do to enslave the entire world, I could point out a series of warning signs, so that as many people as possible would be inoculated against, shall we say, cult practices, and the creation of what can realistically be called cult unthinking. You, the reader would know when their freedom to be who they were born to be, a person free to make wise choices, was under assault. That is the genesis of this book. And who better than a former hypnotist to write it? Who better than the Rogue Hypnotist?!

Cult leaders are masters of manipulation. We had better examine what I mean b y manipulation first.

What is manipulation?

T he Proto-Indo European word man, meaning hand is involved here. The word command (co-man-and) finds it root in this old word. As does the Saxon name Edmund (Ed-man-d). Also manage, manifest/o, manoeuvre, manufacture, manuscript, recommend, manual. It is interestingly linked to slavery, as in the words manacle and manumission (freeing slaves).

The word manipulation is also a derivative of ancient man. In ancient Greece the mid part of manipulate (pele) as in plassein, meant to mould. In Greek plasma - moulded, created. The Latin planus - to level, make clear.

In another sense pele can be found in the Sanskrit purvi - much. The Greek polys- many. The hoi polloi - the people. Plethos - people, great number, multitude. Ploutos - wealth. From the Latin plus - more, and plenus- full.

By 1730 the word manipulate came to mean a method of digging ore. From the French manipulation. This came from manipule - a pharmacists measure. Which was derived from the Latin manipulus - handful, sheaf, many. By 1826 we have a sense of a skillful handling of objects. Just two years later, we have the modern sense of: handling or managing persons; especially to ones own advantage!

There are manipulators and the manipulable: those who can be manipulated. Wouldnt you like to stop being the latter? You came to the right place.

We have this word manipulate, it is linked, obviously, to the skillful ruling of a slave population, by a not mentioned but presupposed elite. Its time to take off the shackles. This book, your new book, is here to stop you being manipulated by anyone else, ever. For the rest of your life.

All manipulation is a form of hypnosis. Manipulation requires hypnotic methodologies to work. Hypnosis is just a focused state of concentration and compartmentalisation within which a manipulator can bypass your critical faculty (your intellect) in order to manipulate YOU.

My whole life has proved to me the truth of Barnums wonderful phrase, Theres a sucker born every minute. We can all be manipulated. Including me. In fact we have all, at times, manipulated someone to achieve a goal. The usual way you do this is by using words . You can also use images . You must always hook the emotions . When you have aroused an emotion, you unbalance the thinking brain. In fact the less thinking the more emotion, and the more emotion the less thinking. There are many powerful and not so powerful people that dont like it when you think too much. It upsets them, scares them. Oh, by the way, the word upset is of the utmost importance. Most effective manipulation relies on your being upset by something real or imagined.

The danger of toxic communication.

I n all that we label mental illnesses there is or has been what you might call toxic communication. These pathological communication patterns alone can create psychological distress. This book details what this toxic influence is. It is found perhaps most readily in a cult, but is found throughout all of wider society. Which is often nothing more than a competing cult process itself. A cult is really a pathological society. This book will arm you with tools to protect yourself from malignant influence, pressure, and persuasion. There is no such thing as cult thinking, precisely because the capacity for independent thought has been disabled completely in such a psychopathically controlled environment.

Mind Benders rule 1: Toxic communication is always abusive. Its aim is to demoralise you. Demoralisation lowers your self-worth, and then you become suggestible/programmable.

Pathological trance and the cult.

I n my other works on hypnosis I identified something I call pathological trance. This is a trance state that is dangerous to the person experiencing it. A person in such a state may look wide awake to a person unaware of trance behaviour. However, experiments have shown that most people, untrained in hypnotic phenomenon cannot identify a hypnotically entranced person that has been hypnotised to look awake.

All cults, no matter what their name, despite the mask they wear (the veil of respectability), organisational structure they use, or forms they take, seek to induce a permanent hypnotic trance in their slaves; where critical thinking is entirely absent, and permanently abolished. They want slavish obedience without question. If you ever experience this, in any walk of life, youre in a cult.
