Thanks for taking the time to read this book. You really couldve done a million other things with your time, and yet, you decided to pick up this book about improving your productivity. When I published the first edition of this book in 2018, the economy was doing well, and more people were excited about online opportunities than ever. As Im writing this new preface, its almost four years later, and were living in a totally different world. In 2020, the mindset of most people was, Lets get through this pandemic. Lets slow down. Lets rethink everything. A year and a half later, when things started looking brighter, most people said, Wow, the pandemic has created so many new opportunities. Lets get after it. We went from a passive mode to a fully active mode. Just look around you: Prices of everything are going up because theres so much demand. The world economy simply cant keep up. This is only the beginning of a new world thats moving even faster.

That means we also need to move fast if we want to thrive. Thats what Do It Today is all about. This book gives you the tools you need to adapt and thrive in todays fast-paced world. And the best thing? You get to improve your productivity, boost your focus, and overcome procrastination without sacrificing your mental health. Yes, thats possible. About This Book

As Im writing this, Im blocked from accessing my email provider that I use to send out my weekly newsletter. This email provider is the most important service I use to run my blog. Its equally important as my blog itself.

The reason I cant access my email provider and send emails to my subscribers (even new subscribers who join my newsletter are not receiving my welcome email) is that Im being list-bombed. It happens when spammers bomb your email list signups with emails from people who didnt want to sign up for your list. And now, Im known as a spammer because I send emails to people who didnt sign up for them. At least, this is what a website that lists spammers says.

In their eyes, Im a spammer. Am I one? Of course not. I have a life. However, publishing weekly articles and staying in touch with my readers is also a part of my life. And thats been taken away from me now. The irony is that I migrated to this provider ten days ago. Ive spent dozens of hours on that process. Normally, I would get pissed off about this situation and start blaming someone. After all, I invested a lot of time in building a large email list. And for a moment, I did get upset about being blocked from it. But you know what I did next?

I started doing something else thats important. I started this book. Just like that. I moved on to the next thing. Life doesnt stop. And every single second, were getting closer to death.

I must say, three years ago, I was far away from the person that I am today. I would complain, feel sorry for myself, blame others, and I would never have acted on anything meaningful. But through reading, journaling, and blogging every week, I have transformed my life.

Like a sculptor, I shaped my philosophy for life during that period. My philosophy can be summarized in three words, and its the title of this book : Do it today. Look, I dont have to tell you that life is finite, and that time is not replenishable. Every second we invest in something is time that we can never get back. But I want to challenge you to look at the bigger picture.

What you do today determines where you will be in a year, two years, and even ten years from now. Every single day, we keep on doing things that we dont desire. Im not talking about paying the bills or cleaning your toilet. Im talking about how you invest the majority of your time. The time that sums up your life .
