INTRODUCTION
Compass of the Soul:
52 Ways Intuition Can Guide You to the Life of Your Dreams
I am extremely grateful to the thousands of people who read my book Divine Intuition: Your Guide to Creating a Life You Love. Many of you took the message to heart and shared warm and wonderful stories about how it had changed your lives. I also received calls, e-mails, and letters asking me when I would be available in various areas to present this material in person. As I havent yet mastered the ability to be in several places at the same time, I decided to write this book and share a bit of the workshop experience with all of you!
Intuition comes in many forms. It communicates in different ways to each of us. There is no one right way to hear its guidance. Compass of the Soul provides a chapter-by-chapter plan to enable you to create the life youve always wanted through the use of intuition. Each chapter consists of four parts:
An inspirational quote.
An intuition lesson that provides a philosophical overview to help you live an intuitive life.
An intuition exercise that demonstrates a technique you can use to integrate the lesson into your life.
An intuition journal that poses questions for you to write about. This will engage you in reflecting on deeper questions about the meaning of creating the life youve always wanted and what that life would look and feel like.
I know from personal experience and from working with thousands of clients that intuition is a ready source of directiona compass of the soulavailable to all of us, compliments of God, the Universe, Spirit, All-That-Is, or whatever we choose to call our personal understanding of Divine Intelligence. I dont want to impose my beliefs on you. I ask only that you be open to the vastness of the Divine. To me, it means an invisible intelligence that animates our world and provides wisdom and love to guide our lives.
Fortunately, we all have the ability to tap into this power. We are all capable of developing it for practical use in everyday life, as well as for discovering and achieving life goals. I believe this wisdom comes to us through what we call intuition. Many people think of inner guidance as the domain of a gifted few, even though intuition is now recognized not as a rare, accidental talent but as a natural skill that most of us can cultivate.
Much of the wisdom I share in these pages is from the school of hard knocks. Ive had to learn these life lessons myself, and I continue to do so! Ive also watched from a distance as my clients have struggled with them on their own journeys. Theres no one, right way to use this book. You may want to use it as a week-by-week guide for the full fifty-two weeks of the year, read it cover to cover, or simply choose the chapters that resonate with you and focus on the intuition exercises and journal information in those sections.
Living an intuitive life is much more than simply paying attention to your intuition. It includes looking within for the answers, living life with courage, faith, patience, and trust. It also involves connecting with your Spirit through daily practice and taking action on the wisdom you receive. I believe the world would be a far better place to live in if we all knew how to routinely use the gift of intuition to create lives we love. My hope is that this book will assist you to connect with your wisdom within so you may live your life with enthusiasm, passion, and joy.
