PSALM 84:11
Introduction
Y OU LOOK AT YOUR WATCHNO TIME ! You look at your to-do listno time! Does everyone seem to want a piece of you? Does it seem as if the more you give, the more people want from you? Do you wonder how you can give any more or go any more? Has your get up and go gone? If so, this devotional is for you. It is for any woman who wants to grow in a relationship with God and go through her busy, on-the-go days with God.
Within its pages you will discover timeless truths from Gods Word that will revive, restore, reenergize, and renew you; principles to help you cope with crushing circumstances and nagging irritations; suggestions to help stabilize your life for success in the long haul. Youll also find ideas for strengthening your intimate relationship with God and with others, as well as ways to cope with emotions and fears common to women. You might think of the devotions as spiritual vitamins or a protein bar for producing character on the run. I know this because I wrote them on the go: my days are filled with speaking schedules, family obligations, writing projects, and my ministry, Seasoned Sisters.
God is so personal. He meets us where we are: waiting for kids at soccer or ballet practice; dragging home bone-tired at the end of a rugged workday, or rushing out the door for the daily commute. Our full schedule doesnt affect his presence with us. He is right there, just waiting for us to carve out a few minutes so that he can give us a glimmer of hope or a nugget of wisdom from his Word.
Tuck the 90 Devotions for Women on the Go in your glove compartment, your briefcase, your purse, your desk, or your nightstand. Make a commitment to God that you will give him at least five minutes every day. He longs to give you rest and refreshment, and he promises to meet you wherever you areeven on the go!

DAY 1
To Read: Proverbs 2:1-11
First Things First
Tune your ears to wisdom, and concentrate on understanding.... Then you will understand what it means to fear the L ORD , and you will gain knowledge of God.
P ROVERBS 2:2, 5
S OMETIMES on our daily path in our relationship with God, spending time with him can seem like just one more thing on an already long to-do list. With responsibilities that seem to keep us unendingly on the go, its easy to lose perspective about exactly why we need to spend time in Gods Word daily. And yet Gods Word itself promises wonderful benefits to those who will take the time to pursue wisdom:
My child, listen to what I say, and treasure my commands. Tune your ears to wisdom, and concentrate on understanding. Cry out for insight, and ask for understanding. Search for them as you would for silver; seek them like hidden treasures. Then you will understand what it means to fear the L ORD , and you will gain knowledge of God. For the L ORD grants wisdom! From his mouth come knowledge and understanding. He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest. He is a shield to those who walk with integrity. He guards the paths of the just and protects those who are faithful to him.
Then you will understand what is right, just, and fair, and you will find the right way to go. For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will fill you with joy. Wise choices will watch over you. Understanding will keep you safe.
PROVERBS 2:1-11
Doesnt this seem like a great deal? If you have spent years second-guessing yourself, the wisdom in Gods Word builds confidence in decision making. If you have felt like a victim in some aspect of your life, Gods Word is a shield, and God is your protector. If you are depressed, Gods Word gives comfort and knowledge that are pleasant to your soul. If you are struggling with the consequences of unwise or foolish choices, Gods Word can teach you discretion that will protect and guard you from this point forward. Considering all the benefits of gaining Gods wisdom, our busy days will go much more smoothly once we have Gods wisdom firmly in our minds and hearts.
