The Kabbalah Method
While there can be no question that we, as a species, have established deep and penetrating channels into the how of things, we have made scant headway in finding the source of the mighty river why?
Who are we? Where did we come from? Why are we here? Why did the universe come into being? Did life on earth emerge as a matter of chance, or was it the conscious act of a supreme being? Is our suffering a cruel hoax, or is it a constituent element of some grand design?
Despite all our best efforts to arrive at a conclusive understanding of reality, the essential questions concerning the nature of existence remain profoundly impenetrable. Until now.
In his latest book eminent Kabbalist Rav Berg uncovers the ultimate mystery where we come from and why. In this illuminating treatise, the reader is taken on a journey that begins before our universe came into existence, where all that existed was an infinite endless realm of total fulfillment and perfection. The journey continues to modern times and into the future.
Instead of having to find a new solution for each and every obstacle in your paths, the kabbalistic frame of reference allows you to return to the root cause of each matter and thus avoid the constant interruptions presented by life in the material world.
The reader acquires a sense of his/her inner workings, through the careful application of kabbalistic principles. As Berg explains, we are models of the universe, as it was, is, and will be. By understanding the microcosm that is us, we connect with the macrocosm that is the infinite power of the universe.
If you seriously want to learn about the Kabalistic mindset, this book is one of the best available to help you along your journey, safely, and honestly.
EXCERPT:
Sympathetic Vibrations
Every vessel has a certain note that causes it to reverberate louder than at any other frequency. Gently encircle the rim of a wineglass with a moistened finger to find that vessels resonant harmonic. The singers trick of breaking wineglasses is accomplished by singing that particular pitch at a volume sufficient to cause the glass to explode from the force of its own vibrations. By singing, an ascending or descending scale into any container the singer can readily identify the one resonant harmonic that will cause the vessel to reverberate most loudly in sympathy with the note being sung.
The same can be said for the vessel that is our soul. One note, one activity, one calling, more than any other, can cause our interior Encircling Vessels to come alive with sympathetic vibrations, the same resonant harmonic that once filled our Encircling Vessels when we were all but undifferentiated aspects of the universal music of the spheres. To find this one resonant harmonic is the key to contentment and satisfaction.

INTRODUCTION
The soul is speaking to the Creator: Teach me the mysteries of the higher wisdom. How do you lead your flock in the Upper World? Teach me so that I will not be shamed when I arrive among the eternal souls, for until now I have not reflected on these mysteries.

The Creator replies to the soul: If you dont understand the beauty of the soulif you return and havent reflected on the wisdom before you came here and dont know anything of the mysteries of the Upper Worldthen you arent merited to enter here. Therefore, return again. Study those things that people consider to be unimportant. Learn the secrets of the Upper World.
Zohar Chadash, Song of Songs p. 70, sec. 4
We are born into this mysterious universe without a guidebook or an instruction manual. We have only our instincts, our intuition, and our reason to tell us where we came from, why we are here, and what we are supposed to do. But the most important thing we possessand perhaps the key to our survival as a speciesis an almost unlimited need to know. A human being comes into this world with a passionate sense of wonder and inquisitiveness and an equally powerful need for self-expression.

Over the centuries, humankind has gained deep and penetrating insights into the how of things, but we have made scant headway into the why. Despite our many stunning achievements, are we any closer to uncovering answers to the ultimate questions? Have we any greater understanding of the essence of our existence than did the First Man and the First Woman, when they gazed awestruck into a clear, starry sky and contemplated the Great Mystery?

Who are we? Where did we come from? Why are we here? Why did the universe come into being? Did life on Earth emerge as a matter of chance, or was it the conscious act of a supreme being? Is our suffering a cruel hoax, or is it a constituent element of some grand design?

Despite all our best efforts to arrive at a conclusive understanding of reality, the essential questions concerning the nature of existence remain impenetrable. That in itself is not particularly alarming. What is unsettling is that today, perhaps as in no other time in history, we are failing as individuals to meet the challenge to probe lifes mysteries. We no longer feel comfortable attempting to answer the essential questions. We have grown meek, surrendering the investigation to so-called specialists, consultants, experts, and professionals.

Open to me an opening no bigger than the eye of a needle, and I will open to you the Supernal Gates.
Zohar III, p. 95a

The most powerful computer ever invented is not locked in some massive government vault, nor is it the jealously guarded secret of any corporate giant. No, the most advanced computer ever created is a strange-looking thing that weighs no more than a few pounds, a convoluted mass of tissue known as the human brain.

Then why, you might ask, cant I tap into the infinite potential of this intelligence? Why cant I answer all the questions that have never been answered? Why cant I make the world over exactly as I want it to be?

Why, indeed! The truth is the sum total of current human knowledge represents only a minute fraction of our potential understanding. The full resources of our mental computer remain untouched. Humankind is still searching for the operating system with which to access those limitless reserves.

In this book, as well as through other tools and teachings of Kabbalah, you can at last gain possession of that system. Learning Kabbalah is like slipping a powerful application into the disk drive of the human computer. Of course, most of us do not learn to use a new program overnight. But little by little, we learn to accomplish our desired tasks and to avoid the pitfalls along the way. Rather than having to find a new solution to every problem we encounter, the kabbalistic frame of reference allows us to penetrate the root cause of each problem, thus averting the constant crashes life presents in the everyday world.

While the miraculous power of the human brain may remain forever beyond our understanding, we can gain a sense of our own inner workings through the careful application of kabbalistic principles. For we are models of Creationas it was, so it is, and so it will be. By understanding the microcosm of ourselves, we can connect with the macrocosm that is the infinite power of the universe.

Until recently, Kabbalah was a carefully hidden secret. But now the time has come to make Kabbalah available for all who have a desire to learn.

CHAPTER I
ROOTS
The roots of Kabbalah extend deep into the soil of our primordial past. For most of humankind, those roots have been invisible. But certain individuals have always sought to establish links with a deeper reality. There have always been seekers for whom face value was never enough. There have always been those who looked for the word within the word, the thought within the thought, the meaning within the meaning.

When fools see a well-dressed person, they look no further. But thinking people know that the style of ones clothing has nothing to do with the body inside. Kabbalah teaches that the worth of the body lies in the soul. Just as the sheen and ripples on the surface of a pond hide what lies beneath, so does empirical existence obscure our true essence.

Confusion arises because there are two real worlds. One is the reality beyond changecomplete, eternal, and infinite. The other is the so-called real worlda reality that changes with the tides, becoming larger and smaller, harder and softer, faster and slower, depending on how it is perceived. In the end, it is anything you want to make it. Hence, it is not real at all. The two realities of the Upper and Lower Worlds are separated by only a hairs breadth apart, yet together all the same. The kabbalists task is to bridge the gap between these worldsto see one within the other, and to see the universal, infinite soul in its finite, material expression.

To really comprehend the nature of the physical world, we must begin making connections with the metaphysical realm. To comprehend the nature of the external world, we must connect with the internal. Just because something is seen with the eyes does not mean it exists, any more than not seeing something is proof that it does not exist. Through Kabbalah, we peel away the layers of darkness in order to connect to the Light within.
RECEIVING
The literal meaning of the word Kabbalah is receiving. The very fact that the secrets of the universe are revealed through the study of receiving tells us a great deal about the nature of existence. We learn that a Desire to Receive is the basic mechanism by which the world operatesthe dynamic process at the basis of all physical and metaphysical manifestations.

This Desire to Receive affects all Creation, whether human, animal, vegetable, or inanimate. In an inanimate object, of course, the Desire to Receive is minuscule. A stone needs nothing to ensure its presence. Nonetheless, for it to exist at all, it must contain some element of the Desire to Receive.
