ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
I thank my wife Lori who has been with me every step of the way throughout all those painful years. She provided me with comfort and care as well as enduring the challenges that were placed on her like all the nights she slept with me in the ICU room and hospital rooms. I so greatly appreciate her for her loving kindness and support that has made me the blessed man I am today.
I wish to acknowledge some very valuable people who made this work a pleasurable experience. There are many behind-the-scenes individuals in which I have not met but want to thank for their involvement in this work.
I want to thank Ronda Ranalli, Director of Acquisitions and Production, who spearheaded our contract negotiations, follow-up, changes and more changes while making it a smooth uneventful business venture. I want to thank Terri Meckes, Production Project Manager, who is so easy-going and very helpful in directing me with the deadlines, manuscript changes, etc. I also want to thank Mykela Krieg, Communications and Coordination Specialist, who diligently coordinated the layout of the front and back covers, providing the book with the best look and feel possible. And finally Joe Jestus, Chief Matchmaker. From one Joe to another Joe who is responsible for the PR, advertising, and marketing strategies to get this book into the hands of as many people possible, I thank you.
I wish to say thank you to Tina Polite & Associates for her tenacity and hard work which eventually brought me to Destiny Image.
There are others who really deserve recognition also. They are those who have helped me find relief from joint pain and damaged joints and cartilage, etc. with cutting-edge technologies and treatments along the way. I want to thank Stem Cell Scientist, Helmut Makosch and Mark Walter, MD. I want to thank Dr. Martin Monahan (my partner at the ReJuv U clinic in Free Port Grand Bahama, Bahamas) from St. Augustine, Florida for the many adjustments in my spine, SI joints and hips. I also want to thank Medical Director Dr. Farshchian, MD who administered the first of many stem cell treatments over the years.
Last but not least, I thank my God and Creator Yahweh for His marvelous design of the human body. How interrelated the human body functions and how He enables man with discoveries and advancements in various treatments and technologies designed to restore the human body back to normal function, only humbles me further of His matchless omnipotence.

Herniated discs, strained muscles, sore elbow, painful knee joints, lower back pain, epidural injections, X-rays, etc.its pure insanity having to understand all the terms, treatments, diagnoses and prognoses, medications, therapies, etc. to treat what ails you. So making the right choicewhether it is surgery, therapy, or lifestyle changes to eliminate your specific painis the difference between living a painful and debilitating life or a life that you can fully enjoy.
Before I share with you the many options you have when it comes to living beyond your chronic pain and what treatments await for healing your body, I share the following scenario with you, to see if you can relate to it. If you can, then most likely you have or are living with chronic pain; but if not, Im sure you know a family member, someone in your circle of friends, a co-worker or relative(s) who can!
You start off with a painful joint or something like that, and it doesnt go away. You take aspirin or some over-the-counter, anti-inflammatory medication for the pain, but it doesnt go away. You notice that the pain has intensified and started disrupting everything you do. Finding something stronger or some way to relieve the pain has become a daily issue. Its even disrupting your sleep.
Then you find yourself complaining about the pain everywhere you go and asking family and friends what they think you should do. Some tell you to get an X-ray or MRI (magnetic resonance imaging), and others say to put an ice pack on it, while others tell you to put heat on it. They even suggest that you see a chiropractor or an orthopedic doctor. Perhaps someone has suggested alternative medicine remedies or protocols for healing the body outside of mainstream medicine for alleviating pain. Like most people, going to the doctor is by far your first choice, because by now the pain has become a constant throbbing or burning. It has even invaded your mind to the point where you cannot function normally or live with the excruciating pain any longer.
So you break down and set an appointment with your doctor. Your appointment is at 2 pm and you arrive early with hopes of getting in and out as quickly as possible. First youre handed nearly a dozen forms to fill out, then you have to present your insurance card or some type of medical coverage, and if accepted, you are asked to make a co-pay. This financial expense costs you anywhere from $15 to $70 plus based on if your insurance plan covers it; if it doesnt then it comes out of your pocket. Now you sit in the waiting room patiently listening for your name to be called. After nearly one full hour your name is finally called and you go to a small room to wait. While waiting to see your doctor, a medical assistant or nurse comes in and takes your blood pressure, temperature, and weighs you on the doctors scale. By now it is approximately 3:30 pm; almost 1 hours later, finally the doctor enters the room. He/ She immediately starts asking you a series of questions about your complaint(s) and perhaps after a short examination, the doctor goes to the laptop and recommends you take a stronger medication than the over-the-counter drugs you are taking. So a script is written for pain medicationtake 1 pill four times every day as needed for the next 30 days. While at the laptop you are asked if you are taking any other drugs and if you would like them refilled. Why not, you think, theres nothing like a one-stop drug shop. Of course if you were injured you may have been handed a referral script to get an MRI or X-ray to see what the problem is. In either case, your appointment has lasted almost two hours (the actual time with your doctor was just 15 minutes). You see the receptionist to schedule yet another 2-hour appointment; then off to the pharmacy you go.
