Dedication

I have had the privilege of writing this biography
about a very famous Person. In the process, Ive gotten to
know Him even more. This book is dedicated to Him,
the Holy Spirit, and all Hes waiting to become
in your life and mine.

My heart is overflowing with a good theme;
I recite my composition concerning the King;
My tongue is the pen of a ready writer.
PSALM 45:1

I would like to thank several people who helped to
make this book a reality:

Kathy Helmers, who shared the vision.
Kim Bangs, who shared her expertise and excellent eye.
The many women who shared their stories.
And Dave Bjorklund, who shares his life with me.

My Heart, the Holy Spirits Home gets to the heart of how we can understand the purpose, power and passion of the governor of the Kingdom of Heaven, the Holy Spirit. This is indispensable reading for anyone who wants to understand the Holy Spirit and through Him live life above the norm. It spans the wisdom of the ages, yet breaks new ground in its approach. It will possibly become a classic in this and the next generation.

This erudite, eloquent, and immensely thought-provoking work is one of the most profound, practical and principle-centered approaches to this subject of the Holy Spirit that I have read in a long time. Lyndas approach brings a fresh breath of air that will captivate your heart, engage your mind, and inspire your spirit. She has an amazing ability to leap over complicated theological and metaphysical jargon and reduce complex theories to simple practical principles. She integrates these time-tested precepts about the Holy Spirit into each chapter and gives each a practical application to life, which makes the entire process very user-friendly.

This book will challenge you as it dismantles the mysteries of the Holy Spirit and delivers the profound in simplicity. It will awaken in you the inhibiters that often prevent personal development and empower you to rise above these self-defeating, selflimiting factors and lead to a life of exploits in spiritual and mental advancement. I enjoyed the mind-expanding experience of this exciting book, as every sentence is filled with wisdom. I admonish you to plunge into this ocean of knowledge and watch your life change for the better.

As I place my fingers on the keyboard to begin writing this book, I keep remembering a couple of decades-old dreams I have had.

The first dream found me wandering in an unknown location. Desperately, I tried to find my way back, but back to what, I didnt know. I can still recall, however, my sense of lostness, isolation, abandonment and despair.

Then, at last, I stood in a familiar placebehind the Hartfords house! The Hartfords were an ordinary family who attended the ordinary church my dad pastored in a small, ordinary Indiana town. The church was located nearly 40 backroad miles from our home in Ohio, so our commitment to Wednesday night, Saturday night, Sunday morning and Sunday night services came at a great price. I was the second oldest of what would be eight children, so my mom was either pregnant or nursing much of the 20 years we served at that church.

Thats why the possibility of my dream having meaning and coming true scared me to death. I couldnt imagine that God would call me to continue the less-than-glamorous work my parents had begun. After all, I was in my mid-twenties, had recently graduated from college and wanted anything but the ordinary for myself. I still longed to find my pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. I still desired to make my mark on the world. Wow, I still wanted to see the world!

My second dream was a recurring one. I would observe a special room in a separate section of my house that held exquisite antiques. On rare occasions, I would venture into that extraordinary place to bask in the warmth of what I saw, touched and even smelled. Problem was, I couldnt share the exhilarating experience with many others, as few people appreciated the attraction that I found there. This beauty truly was in the eye of the beholder. As a result, I reserved my visits for those who would recognize the value and who would desire to visit that unusual place. When I found them, we would take a walk up the stairs to that sacred room and together share its timeless treasure.
