Acknowledgments
This book would not have been possible without the support of the many wonderful contributors. For many of the NDErs, this was the first time sharing their experiences. I cant thank them enough for going public in the hope of helping others understand that life never ends and love never dies.
I am also deeply blessed to have garnered the support of so many respected authors and experts in the field of afterlife and paranormal research. To say the least, I am very humbled by their support. They are Melvin Morse, Peter Russell, Barbara Whitfield Harris, Mark Pitstick, Steven Hodes, Dave Tango, Loyd Auerbach, Jeffrey Keene, Carol Bowman, and Paul Von Ward. I would also like to acknowledge Bruce Tango. I truly enjoyed our conversations and am very grateful for all of your help.
Again, I would like to thank the many contributors who made this book possible. My heartfelt appreciation goes out to Louis LaGrand for writing the Foreword and to Robert Perala for writing the Preface. Thank you both for believing in me and this book. It is truly an honor.
Writing a book of this nature takes a lot of time... time away from my family and friends. Therefore, I would like to acknowledge my family and friends who stood beside me throughout the writing of this book. No words could ever express how much your love and support has meant to me.
I would also like to acknowledge my friend Jody Read who crossed over in April 2010. I will never forget the laughter. You were and are such a blessing.
Obviously, this book would not have been possible without the support of my publisher A.R.E. Press. Please know how very grateful I am to all of you. I deeply appreciate your continued faith in me. Henry David Thoreau once said, Our truest life is when we are in dreams awake. Without your support, I would not be living a dream. A special thank you to my editor, Stephanie Pope; you are a godsend. And continued heartfelt thanks go to Cassie McQuagge, Jennie Taylor Martin, Kevin Todeschi, and the rest of the crew. Youve all been so wonderful.
Finally, to my husbandmy inspiration behind everything that I do in lifeand to my daughters Erica and Lia. Thank you for understanding why Mom spends so much time at the computer. I love you so much.

Author of Love Lives On

Josie Varga is a woman of impeccable character who has devoted many years to the study of nonphysical reality and its critical role in the expansion of consciousness and the power of belief in the unseen. What you will hear from her is not conjecture but the result of study and dedication to better the human condition; in short, to use a well-worn phrase, you can take it to the bank. In this book, as was so expertly accomplished in Visits from Heaven, she clearly shows that love lives on, that these extraordinary encounters happen for a purpose, and that scientific materialism does not have all the answers. She now presents a whole new set of experiences from a different perspective.
What jumps from the pages of Visits to Heaven is the irrefutable evidence that near-death experiences (a euphemism, since these growth-producing experiences happen in instances other than when one thinks death is near) heavily influence healing through love and caring relationships. How does this occur? The answer is simply that the conviction naturally surfaces that there must be something after death, an afterlife in which loved ones are reunited and come to realize that earthly life is but a prelude to a much more significant existence.
