I am not trying to convert you to believe ina subject you might be opposed to, but rather to share my fortyyears of experience as a psychic reader and metaphysical teacher todispel the mysteries, superstitions, and misconceptions surroundingpsychic readers and readings. Even if you doubt that people possesspsychic abilities or that readings are worthwhile, I am confidentyour thoughts regarding this subject will change after finishingthis book.

How do psychic readers know things aboutyou; past experiences, and thoughts you never shared with others?An educated and gifted psychic reader, a medium and/or healerconnect mentally (and usually spiritually) to your information.That is your life history. Some readers might include past lifeinformation. Where is this information? You hold all of yourhistorythat is your souls historywithin your AkashicRecords and you can access it yourself. It would take a dedicationon your part to do this through meditation and study of self.

Akashic Records are thought to be like a fileon you from the beginning of your existence. The wordakashic is Sanskrit word meaning sky or space where allknowledge of human existence is recorded.

A reading, similar to psychotherapy, helpsyou to recall your history through the incident, people in yourlife, and/or by age. It will also reveal your hopes, fears, dreams,and goals. Unlike psychotherapy a reading can present all of thisinformation within one session. Sometimes the information can bemore than you want to know, or you do not relate to during thesession. Because of this, I encourage everyone that goes to areading to record it in some way (more on that later.)

In the beginning years of my profession, Iwas acknowledged for successfully predicting future events. Overthe course of my own spiritual enlightenment, I came to understandthat readings are much more than looking into the future. They canbe a learning experience to teach you how to live authenticallywith your own unique talents and abilities.

Being a reader has afforded me many wonderfuland mystical experiences, more than I had ever dreamt possible. Oneof the greatest perks of being a reader has been the people I havemet from many places throughout the world, and from almost everywalk of life.

Please note: For easy reading in the book, Iwill refer to a psychic reading and psychic healing as a reading orhealing and to the reader as she. This is not to say allreaders are females. There are many talented male readers. It isfor the sake of easy reading. I will refer to people who consultwith readers as querents (she or he who queries, asks orseeks), as well as, the client.

Chapter 2

READERS ARE NOT A new fad. For eons, men andwomen have sought answers and guidance from prophets, seers,shamans, and astrologers to confer with the stars, cast stones orcards to predict their future. People believe in magic and haveasked those with special powers and knowledge to brew magicalherbal potions to promote strength, sexual prowess, energy, and forgood luck. From ancient times to the modern days, many peoplecontinue to consult these timeless counselors. They are not goingaway. They are part of our societies.

Readers and mystics have held important andpowerful roles throughout history. Leaders of great nationskings,queens, and even presidents of the United States (Abraham Lincolnparticipated in sances)have consulted with them. Many morepeople, well known and ordinary citizens, are open to new ways ofthinking about their psychical well-being and how to care for it asevident when Oprah Winfrey invited medical intuitive, Carolyn Myss,to her show. In 2012, Dr. Phil had several psychics demonstratetheir skills to his audience along with a scientist who gave apositive conclusion on the latest of studies: Yes, there arepeople who have psychic abilities.

People are often unsure of what to expectwith regards to a readers appearance, not realizing that there arean assortment of individuals who are readers. To many, the idea ofa reader conjures up images of a strangelydressed gypsy or awitch, sitting in a darkened room with a crystal ball in front ofher, while weird music plays in the background. When people learnthat I am a psychic, they invariably remark, You look so normal.While some readers might appear a little strange in dress orbehavior, most look and act like everyday people.
