Cat owners can care for their felines from kittenhood to old age through a safe and natural system using the flower remedies created by Dr. Edward Bach in the 1930s. This book explores how this healing therapy treats ailments with different flora and can be applied to cats to ease their mental stress, worry, and other emotional problems. Individuals can gain a closer understanding with their cats and spare them from unnecessary medications and drugs in the process. The book delves into the background of the 38 different Bach flower remedies and their applications in animal health, and it also addresses commonly asked questions about cat behavior.

Chapter One
What are the Bach Flower Remedies?

I f you have picked up this book, you may already be familiar with this system of natural therapy pioneered by Dr Edward Bach (1886 1936). For those less familiar, the Bach flower remedies are a range of liquid remedies prepared from wild flowers. Their purpose is mainly in helping to heal negative emotional states: that is to say, states of mind and mood that cause suffering, or which are the result of suffering. These states of mind include emotions like sadness and despair, fear and anxiety, hostility and defensiveness, and the effects of emotional trauma past and present. The remedies come in liquid form, and are generally taken orally although there are various other ways to use them, which we will be discussing in this book. They are 100% safe, inexpensive and widely available throughout the world. Animals respond to them particularly well, sometimes showing signs of improvement within minutes!

The Bach flower remedies are a strange paradox. They represent a fabulous technology of nature whose workings on living organisms are still something of a mystery to our crude human science. Yet for all its depth this natural healing resource is almost absurdly simple to use so simple, in fact, that anyone can use the remedies without any previous study or knowledge. The results speak for themselves. For over seventy years now, this unassuming collection of gentle but powerful remedies has been quietly changing the lives of millions of people and animals across the world.

Many books have been written about the wide potential of Bach flower remedies to help with the problems we humans are so prone to. In this book we are going to shift the focus a little to look athow they can be used to help a fellow species we have brought into our human world: the cat, in all its many shapes and sizes. Well examine the many ways that Bach remedies can change the lives of cats that are suffering from problems of the emotions, such as fear or stress or psychological tension stemming from past maltreatment.

Amongst plant-based natural remedies (herbs, essential oils, homeopathy etc.) Bach flower remedies occupy a special and unique place, not just because they are prepared like no other type of remedy but also because they are so simple to learn and use. It isnt possible to cause any problems with them, and any mistakes you make by choosing an inappropriate remedy can easily and quickly be fixed simply by making a different choice and trying again. Flower remedies are a very forgiving subject to learn for the beginner. What this means is that even if you have never used them before, the information in this book will be more than enough to get you started using Bach flower remedies effectively to help the lives of cats or any other suffering creature, including humans. In a world where it seems so easy to do the wrong thing even with the best of intentions, Bach remedies seem to offer the impossible: here is something that can only do good. Thats the beautiful reality of this system of therapy.
