The more I read, the more I was touched and, interestingly, found myself saying, I WISH I HAD HAD THIS BOOK MANY YEARS AGO. I kept wishing I had been the kind of husband she describes. THIS BOOK IS RIGHT ON TARGET, especially in a sophisticated, secular, relativistic culture.

This is probably the MOST EXCELLENT BOOK dealing with not only the wifes role, but also the responsibility of a husband, father, businessman, churchman, single person and everybody else regarding this whole idea of submitting to one another. This book describes how submission works, the dynamics of it and how it could, if practiced, bring joy and happiness to our world. This is A BOOK TO BUY, READ AND PRACTICE.

To a man who has spent all of our married life looking beyond my faults and seeing my needs. You are a rare man indeed to have waited (and, in some cases, are still waiting) for God to mold and shape me. This book is dedicated to my companion, leader and best friend, Frank Wilson.
I would like to thank Les Stobbe, Matt Parker, Margie Hill, Marilyn Davis and the Wednesday Morning Womens Fellowship. You encouraged me to believe that I could write this book.
To two dear friends, Renee Walker and Mattie Bell, who worked with me to the endI appreciate you.
To my children: Tracey, Launi, Fawn and Christy Joy. I adore and watch you with great excitement as God continues to mold and shape you into powerful women of God.
To my father, who taught me the meaning of hope and consistency. To my mother, who taught me faithfulness and strength. I love you both very much.
And in memory of Jane Hill, who set a high Christian standard to follow and challenged me by her life to become Gods woman.
Contents
I vividly remember how exciting it was to receive and open the first case of Liberated Through Submission when it was originally published. One day shortly thereafter, my husband Frank and I got into what I call intense fellowship. We had reached an impasse, and he ended our conversation by stating, Go read your book! I realized at that moment that I indeed had the concept of submission in my head, but it had not fully traveled to my heart. Over the years that journey has been made complete as I have watched Gods continued faithfulness when exercising this principle. Today the power of submission burns even brighter in my heart.
Countless testimonies from men and women, single and married, concerning their victories when applying submission to their lives continue to abound. I have watched relationships restored that seemed doomed for destruction. Ive seen strife replaced by peace and harmony. Truly Gods ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8). Being liberated through submission may sound like a paradox, but I assure you it is the source of true freedom.
When this book was first released, my children were still at home. Today, the majority of them are adults, and I have had an opportunity to witness how the principle of submission flows into the next generation. My life has been richly blessed as I have observed them applying this principle to their careers and their jobs, in their churches and in their marriages. Oh, that parents would grasp the vision of how the future could be positively impacted if their children saw submission modeled correctly!
What about you? How do you view the principle of submission? Is it a positive or a negative? If your answer is positive, my desire is that this book will affirm that belief. If your answer is negative, I hope to reveal spiritual truths that will release you from the flawed teachings promoted by a world that hates God and by Satan, who has conspired to keep you from being set free.
Liberated Through Submission can make a tremendous, positive impact in your life and the lives of those around youif youll heed its message and apply its principles. Are you ready? Read on!
You can wait patiently for the Fourth of July to arrive to enjoy the brilliant fireworks. Or you can mention the word submission to a group of women! Their verbal response is likely to be just as explosive and colorful as any summer skyrockets or sparklers you could ever hope to see. Few words in the English language (or in any other language) evoke such a controversial response as the word submission.
