Viv MessadoRosalie Messado was born in London in 1942 to a traditionally religious family. She later married and with 3 children moved to Bournemouth, Dorset in 1978. She pursued the Healing arts and spiritual endeavours for many years and participated as a Sitter in physical mediumship circles for 10 years before initiating her own Circle.

It is interesting to note that her uncle, Maurice Grosse, was the Chief Investigator for the London Society For Psychical Research in the famous Enfield Poltergeist case in London in 1977-79.

Viv was also an active member of the International Church and Healing Fellowship, an organisation founded by Raymond Brown, a psychic surgeon through whom St. Paul demonstrated unique healing.

Automatic (inspired) writing was practiced by Viv between the years 1996-2003, possibly continued to 2015 but notes now sadly lost. They were detailed, astounding notes and in her modesty she did not mention it to anyone. It is stated in one of them that in the future they will be a separate book and it is my dearest hope that someday an enlightened soul will take up the baton and publish them.

In 1990, The Noahs Ark Society was established in the UK which was an educational society for the promotion, development and safe practice of Physical Mediumship. Viv promptly took out membership and regularly attended the Bi-Annual Seminars, Seances, and related activities. Colin Fry, Vice-President of the NAS and remarkable physical/trance medium, became a life-long friend, later to be very involved as a regular Spirit communicator in the New Energy Physical Circle in Bournemouth!

Viv was a gifted medium and passionate about physical mediumship. She was modest, generous in mind and spirit with an abundance of love and it is tragic that she did not live to achieve her full potential as an acknowledged physical medium.

Viv made the transition to the spirit world after a long and courageous battle with cancer on 13 February 2019 and this book is lovingly dedicated to her memory.

In the Spring of 2008, Wayne Lee, Physical Medium and Psychic Surgeon, conducted spiritual development circles in Bournemouth, Dorset, in addition to hosting a Physical Mediumship Circle.

As his unique healing abilities were rapidly advancing, he made the decision to halt his physical mediumship circle and concentrate on his healing expertise. After discussion with his friend (and circle sitter) Viv Messado, it was decided Viv would take the immense experimental step to sit as the Physical Medium.

Given the fact that she had for many years always only participated as a sitter, this courageous decision was greatly appreciated by all involved.

The results of that first Physical Circle were excellent and so began the remarkable journey of the NEW ENERGY PHYSICAL CIRCLE in Bournemouth, England on 8 April 2008.

And so the incredible journey began in the New Energy Physical Circle, every Wednesday afternoon in a small blacked-out living room at Maple Cottage, Bournemouth, five sitters and our medium, Viv Messado, gathered together to diligently work and connect with the Spirit world.

Physical Mediumship was totally new to all of us although Viv had long been interested and as a Sitter she had previously participated in other physical circles.

At the onset, we were encouraged to have lively conversation by the first spirit communicator, Zonothan, saying the timbre of our voices greatly helped the vibration between our two worlds, and laughter was a wonderful tonic for both dimensions. Zonothan disclosed that he had been with our medium in the previous incarnation and was with her constantly in this life. He was Team Leader of a huge support group in the Spirit world working with the medium. He mentioned also that we had all chosen to be in this circle before we came to the earth plane in this incarnation.

In these early circles, a sitter would start a story i.e., focusing on a red bus, and the next sitter would continue improvising the story. This produced a collective thought method which was beneficial to the spirit world. Music was softly playing in the background but was put on hold when a spirit communicator announced themselves. As I was busy taking shorthand notes in the dark and attending to the music and red light instruction, I was horrified when told I would be appointed Circle Leader. I strongly protested but had no alternative option as it fell on deaf ears and no other volunteer came forth!

Five months later, it was requested that the weekly circle be tape-recorded and typed for posterity as the spirit world wished the contents to eventually be a book for future physical mediumship circles to learn from. Before digitally recording sances, I recorded our meetings in shorthand and in the dark. Amazingly, our spirit team always gave me clear recall when typing the proceedings if I was struggling to decipher my hastily scrawled shorthand! All these years later I am the custodian of 190 cassettes and five binders of typed transcription and it seems the task has been entrusted to me to share our privileged journey and I sincerely hope I can do it justice.

To return to the specifics required for a physical mediumship circle, the principle essential ingredients would be:

w Total blackout of sance room

w Blankets used for extreme coldness

w Recording/shorthand notes of proceedings

w Music/singing to maintain adequate vibration

w Tape recorder/microphone

w Small red light with dimmer switch

w Total harmony of sitters

It should be mentioned that, as is traditional for Physical mediums, our medium did not sit in a cabinet. She sat in a window alcove which spirit stated replaced a cabinet. The room was heavily curtained and the energy was stored weekly in the curtains and carpets, our Spirit team explained.
