This book has been a true labor of love. Every time I interviewed one of the Born-awares in this book and later transcribed the interviews and shaped them into chapters, I found that I was enraptured and inspired. I shared with so many friends how wonderful this material was; by its very nature and content, this material is hugely uplifting and enthralling.

First and foremost, I must thank the Born-awares youll meet in this book. They were so gracious and giving to allow me to interview them and ask them to share some very personal information, information that in many cases they had never shared with anyone else before. Each of you was so pleasant and generous and I so appreciate your time and willingness to speak with me, as well as who you are by your very natures. Youre such gifts and have enriched my life with your presence!

I would especially like to thank Julie Scardiglia, who was the first born-aware to spontaneously share her pre-birth memories with me. Little did she know at the timenor did Ithat her sharing these memories would lead to this project. It was because of her spontaneous sharing, followed by that of another person, that I realized that I was being given the idea for this book and was being asked to write it. So, without you, Julie, this book would very likely not have happened. Thank you so much for your generosity!

I shared the idea of this book with a couple of friends after Julie and another person shared their memories with me, bouncing the idea of such a book off of them.
