T HIS BOOK OFFERS thirteen prophetic warfare strategies that are proven to workif you use the right one at the right time. Think about it this way: Your prophetic warfare arsenal is full of these tools. Just as a home builder would use one tool for laying the foundation and another tool for putting on the roof, you will learn by practical experienceand always with the leading of the Holy Spiritwhen to use which prophetic warfare strategy in battle.
Many times the Holy Spirit will lead you to start off into intercession, which becomes prophetic intercession as He breathes on it. During this prophetic intercession, you may also pray in the Spirit, and a word of knowledge or prophecy may bubble up in your spirit. You may then transition to waging warfare with the prophetic word or taking faith-inspired action in your community, like a doing a prayer walk or prophetic act. Here we see the prophetic warfare strategies become building blocks that lead you to greater revelation and specific actions.
You may be a dreamer and receive prophetic revelation while you sleep. When you arise, you may begin to decree and declare what the Lord showed you in the dream, and that may send you into travail. You may be a spiritual mapper who roots out the sin in the land and calls upon local churches to engage in warfare repentance. Or you may discover that the Lord reveals His strategies to you during times of praise and worship.
The point is that there is probably a way the Lord speaks to you most oftenand that is how He will often share the prophetic warfare strategy. That said, be open to the Lord moving in new ways in your life. You cant just decide to go into travail, for example, but you can decide not to quench the burden for intercession when He lays it upon you. You cant decide to have a vision, but you can record the details if you do have one, and pray it through. It wont bear much fruit for you to do a march, prayer walk, or some prophetic act if the Holy Spirit is not the one who inspired itbut you can obey His leading even when it seems impossible, sounds strange, or makes no sense to your natural mind.
So where do you go from here? Walk in the Spirit, fellowship with Him, and keep the lines of communication open when you are in warfare and when you are not. When we cultivate intimacy with the Lord, many times He will show us what the enemy has planned and give us the strategy to thwart it before it manifests.
