    INTRODUCTION
    Picture 6

W hat is manipulation ? Manipulating is the use of something, a paper, a stone, a pencil, a piece of cloth, etc., to achieve an objective that a person has. Things are manipulated. However, there are many people who consider other people as things and handle them, manipulate them, as if they really were.

The manipulation of people is a degradation of human dignity since each person has an incalculable value, which deserves all respect for their nature as such. Who manipulates uses others as if they were things, like who takes off or puts on a sock. How vile is this action! Who manipulates does not recognize the dignity of others, who are reduced to the condition of things. You are one thing! I use you while you serve me! As long as you satisfy some of my whims, pleasures or intentions! This is the mentality of the manipulator. He doesn't care about people. He only cares about achieving his goals and satisfying his desires. Manipulation is the most degrading thing for the human person.

    Who manipulates?

Every person who uses others to achieve their desires is a manipulator. For example, who uses pornography or goes with a prostitute, manipulates the woman because she uses it to satisfy her pleasures; or who cheats for personal benefits, such as making fraud in the corner shop: I cheated the shopkeeper! He didn't realize that what I told him was pure lies.

    How is it handled?

There are several forms of manipulation. Some that manipulate a person, others that do them with entire populations. In both cases, the manipulator seeks, as we said, to satisfy its own interests.

Who manipulates a person can be a parent who uses his children to satisfy his comfort or whim. He wants his children, or his wife, or her husband, to do what he wants. For example, when the father violently demands to be treated at home, regardless of the fatigue of others, or their personal needs. He does not want and orders that everyone is at his unconditional service. Or when a mother threatens her children to leave her alone and can watch her soap operas, regardless of the tasks, needs or difficulties of her children. "Go to your room and don't bother me!"

When manipulation seeks that a whole population behaves like one or a few want them to do so. For example, many advertisements seek the population to buy this or that product, without explaining whether it is really necessary or not. They look for the pennies of the inhabitants, and nothing more. They do not care about what will happen. An extreme case is a drug. The drug dealer's only interest is the drug addict's money. He does not care what the latter is going to cause or damage.

What common characteristics do all manipulative acts have?

In every act of manipulation, we find at least two people: the manipulator and the one who is manipulated.

As they are two people, there must necessarily be decisions of both: The manipulator, who freely seeks to use the other; and that of the manipulated who, out of fear, deceit or pressure decides to submit to the manipulator.

We also find that every manipulator seeks to satisfy their own desires or whims, regardless of the dignity of others. Its only measure is its own benefit, at the cost of the denigration of the person whom it manipulates. It can be said that the manipulator is an accomplished selfish, who sees himself with dignity, but denies that of others.

In every manipulative act, the truth is used as a characteristic element, but the truth is reduced to a single aspect. For example, when a father or a mother forces his children to serve him according to his whims, he appeals that he is the father or mother. That is the truth: it is the father or mother of the child, who, because they are parents, must be respected and obeyed. However, that is only part of the truth, because children are people just like parents; They deserve respect for their dignity; To obey does not mean that they blindly fulfill the whims of the parents, or that because they are parents, the children are already their servants or servants. In this case, the mother or the manipulative father uses his condition of the parent for his convenience,

Something similar happens in the great manipulations of society. It presents itself to a part of the truth as if it were this, everything. For example, the case of that deodorant that by the fact of using it will already give security to the person who buys it. Yes, it gives the security that one will not smell bad, but between that and acquire security to face the problems of life, there is a great abyss.
