This book is a battle cry and rally call to Gods people. It is a source of infusion of courage necessary to change our world! We are living in unprecedented times in todays world. It would seem in the natural that things are out of control and spinning into a chaotic state. This seems to be occurring on a national and international scene. It also seems that many individuals on a personal level are in this same place of chaos. Individual dreams seem to be shattered. Families are struggling with no peace and harmony in the ranks. Financial ruin for many seems to be looming on the horizon. Sickness and disease are dominating lives with seemingly no answer available. In his book Planting the Heavens, Tim Sheets gives us Gods strategy and answer. He addresses the bold place we as Gods people are to take. As we position ourselves and begin to Plant the Heavens with Gods word and power, we can see things change.

When God was ready to change the culture and climate of anything, He began by positioning a prophetic voice. When I speak of a prophetic voice, I am not talking of just a prophet. All of us are to use the prophetic unction the Holy Spirit provides us with. When we speak from this prophetic unction, it has the power to change climates and cultures. This is what happened in Ezekiel chapter 37 and verses 1 and 3.

The hand of the Lord came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones. Then He caused me to pass by them all around, and behold, there were very many in the open valley; and indeed they were very dry. And He said to me, Son of man, can these bones live?So I answered, O Lord God, You know.

There was death and despair within a nation. Gods answer was to position Ezekiel in the midst of it. We must understand that it is impossible to be placed in such an arena and not feel the pull of that depression, despair, and disillusionment. As a result, when God asked his prophet can these bones live, he responded with, God, only you know. This was probably not the response of faith God wanted, yet the prophet was being real. Gods solution was to command the prophet to prophesy to these dead and dry bones. At this point the prophet had to decide: Would he prophesy what his eyes were seeing, which was death and hopelessness? Or would he prophesy what his ears were hearing in the spirit, which was the sound of a marching, conquering army? Whatever he prophesied would determine the future of a nation!

Of course Ezekiel chose to agree with the sound of the marching and conquering army. This was, in fact, what occurred. In the times to come, Israel would be restored as a nation. They would leave the captivity they were in and would begin to live again. Ezekiels ability and willingness to speak a word in the midst of the present hopelessness was essential to restoration. A nations destiny was reset because a prophetic person was willing to speak the word of the Lord. The earth then lined up with the sound of this word.

I am excited about this book you hold in your hand. God is looking for some Ezekiels that He can position in some valleys of dry bones. You may wonder why you are in the place you are. It is because God has strategically placed you there to change it. God needs you. Despair, hopelessness, and shame must be shaken off. We are to take our place in the spirit and shift things into divine order and fruitfulness. We are Gods answer to places of weeping. If enough people full of faith and Gods prophetic unction can boldly take their place in the spirit, nations can change. Not only will peoples individual lives experience the breakthrough of God, cultures will shift into their divine order. The Lord needs us to Plant the Heavens. Lets take our place in the creative agenda of God and watch lives and nations change. The heavens await our decrees, proclamations, and announcements.
