INTRODUCTION
Are you planning your life?
Are you ready to take steps to attain your goals?
Achieving goals takes effort, principles, values, awareness, will and more. But above all, it requires purpose. If you have a sense of purpose, you will steadily move closer towards achieving those goals.
It is important to set plans that work towards your goals. We all have set certain goals in different spheres of life. Sometimes those goals include high expectations. But mostly, they create goalposts we can work towards and in reaching them, obtain a sense of fulfilment and satisfaction.
While setting goals is of primary importance, realising them is essential. Consistent failure to do so leads to demoralisation and a sense of failure which is hard to shake off. Goal realisation is an achievement in itself it is a fight to win. Goal realisation starts in school and then moves towards ones professional and family life.
Goal realisation is also a gateway to learning. They function as the trigger to gain knowledge in the pursuit of your own goals and in the process enriches your understanding and life experience. The first push to gain additional skills, learning, and expertise, comes from the impetus to reach your own goals. But sometimes you have to work backwards from where you are, to reach those goals.
ABOUT THE L E A P SERIES
The LEAP series of books has been conceived as a tool of empowerment for every individual to achieve their full potential.
There are certain aspirations that every person in the world shares. We all want to be happy. We all want to lead fulfilling lives. We all want to find our soulmate. We all want a job we love doing. We all want good friends who will share our joy and sorrow. We all want to believe that there is a purpose to our lives.
While the commonality of these goals spans the globe, their achievement is entirely individual. Each person possesses a unique and mixed gift of strengths and weaknesses, special talents and handicaps. In order to focus our individual lives on all that is positive within us, all that is possible for us to do, to be and to achieve, we need to take conscious steps towards it. The empowerment of our lives is an individual pursuit. The decisions are yours. The action is yours. To do the very best with what one has been given that is the ultimate achievement of a life well lived.
You Are You
First, we must recognize ourselves and accept our particular basket of capabilities. Nobody is the same. Nor is it necessary to be like someone else.

The LEAP series teaches methods of individual empowerment.
GOALS
Setting & Realisation
GOAL SETTING, PLANNING &
REALISATION
SETTING GOALS FOR REALISATION
G oals are essential. If a person does not have goals, they often feel a lack of purpose. Having purpose in life provides principles, rationale, ideas and so on. If you have a purpose, you feel complete since your intentions are on track. This takes you towards goal achievement since you focus on your aims or objectives in life.
Goal setting a crucial aspect
Setting goals takes a person closer to accomplishment, which makes him/her feel motivated. A constructive way to realise your goals is by setting short-term goals that work towards long-term ones. For instance, a short-term goal could be to finish college and a long-term goal to buy a house and live in the mountains while pursuing a career as a writer. One may suffer major setbacks in realising ones objectives, but achieving many of the short-term goals will eventually lead to the long-term goal. Thus, it is important to set goals you can reach.
Goals are milestones in the journey of life. Goals should be practical, achievable and realistic. Thus, while setting goals you must be logical. If you set goals that are out of your reach, it is likely you will flounder and never reach the finish. Setting goals out of your reach will also cause you frustration and if you continue to fall short, you will lose self-esteem, self-control, confidence and all mechanisms that make you a complete human being. The important thing is to set goals with which you can win the race. Let us look at a few strategies.
Goal 1 Plan to finish school
Goal 2 Plan to work to earn the money spent on education
Short-term goal Plan to save enough to start my own business
Long-term goal Plan to open my business in five years
While looking at these goals, consider what you think might be required to attain to them. The first goal is obvious, since you have to apply yourself to finishing school. The second goal is reasonable. The third goal is good, but you will need a job that brings you sufficient funds to start a business in the near future. A lot also depends on the type of business you are looking to start. As for the long-term goal, this step will determine if your each the winning tape. As you can see, it takes a great deal of effort and resources to reach goals and make them work.
Goal realisation
As you set your goals, it is important that you strive to achieve and attain them. Giving up will only cause you stress. As you work towards your goals, it is also important to ask questions. Doing so will help you to do a reality check and learn how to reach your goals.
Realising your goals is an important step. If you do, you will find satisfaction since plans and actions will follow which in turn will lead to achievement, success and accomplishment.
