Biblical Black History: summary, description and annotation

We offer to read an annotation, description, summary or preface (depends on what the author of the book "Biblical Black History" wrote himself). If you haven't found the necessary information about the book — write in the comments, we will try to find it.

From Adam to you, the reader, looking at the terms DUST, DARKNESS and or BLACK takes on a whole new meaning. For many years these words have been used as derogatory terms toward black people. Learning how to read or write those same words or any of the English language for that matter, made black people subject to being beaten, flogged, whipped, or even lynched. Teaching the WORD of God was for white men only, especially in the South. Eventually, times changed whereas now the most prominent ministers in America are predominately black. But something very deceptive also happened during that transitional period: REAL history was overlooked while a whole group of Americans were NOT told about their attachment to Gods handiwork. Biblical Black History is a brief study that challenges the reader to look at history from a perspective thats different from any book youve EVER read. The writer takes his time to explain how hidden elements of race have been overlooked from an educational, racial, artistic, and historians point of view. Most readers look at history as a boring subject. Most bible readers look at the history sections within the book as wasted pages or totally ignore them altogether. Most history books are perceived as old people books that dont relate to this generation or time. Well, this book is a challenge to ALL the misconceptions of how history is viewed and received. Its said that the best medicine you can take ,outside of a smile, is usually nasty but good for you. Perhaps this quick read is that medicine that can help heal a sick and divided world, beginning with you.

Why Is History Important???

Job 8: 8-10

For enquire, I pray thee, of the former age, and prepare thyself to the search of their fathers:

(For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, because our days upon earth are a shadow:)

Shall not they teach thee, and tell thee, and utter words out of their heart?

Do not blame God for creating the Tiger, be thankful he didnt give him wings. - Ethiopian proverb

Amen. Before we begin to do the work of analyzing and explaining Biblical Black History, we must begin at the origin of all life and creations: God. The mainspring of all things began with John 1: 1-3. It is written within verse 1 where we see the Holy Trinity of God as the source of the universe.

John 1: 1-3

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2 The same was in the beginning with God.

3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

***Make It Plain (MIP)***

In the beginning: was the Word (Son, later became flesh = Jesus/Yeshua)

: Word was with God (Holy Spirit)

: Word was God (Father)

Yes, biblically speaking, Genesis 1:1 is the beginning of the world as we know it and the Bible itself, but thats where studying Gods Word comes into play. For example, Moses wrote the first 5 books of the Bible (called the Pentateuch) yet there is no mention of Job, who lived before Moses birth and was alive for the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt. Job, if were using age or genealogy as a way to structure the order of the Bible, the book of Job should come 1st. But again, we will explain it later more concisely.

Factually speaking, Lucifers fall came BEFORE life was created here on earth. He, along with the fallen angels, fell to the earth after being booted from Heaven. I know, this goes against conventional old school teaching. I get it. Beginning with any verse other than Genesis 1:1 is frowned upon. Well, this book wasnt written to be status quo. It was written to be TRUTH quo (te). So, where do I take my view from? What or who are my sources to combat what tradition says I shouldnt? JESUS! Yes, Jesus the Christ. Luke 10:18 validates my claim: And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven .

***MIP*** Why did Jesus say he beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven? Because he was there with God in the beginning as stated in John 1:1. Satan fall isnt mentioned in Genesis, yet his embodiment within the serpent as the deceiver led to the downfall of mankind (Genesis 3:1).

So what is the connection to Biblical Black History?

Here is where the work begins. Here is where perspective and questions meet. Here is where we begin to answer the questions together. Here, at Genesis 1:1, is where we sit at the feet of the Father to learn our connection to himfrom Creation.

Chapter 1

CREATION TO NOAH

3 Elements of Creation: God, Earth, and Man

Origin

God

Genesis 1: 1-2

1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

*Analyze and define Darkness*

Def: Darkness - absence or deficiency of light.

There are many different views about the word darkness. In most cases its associated with evil and emptiness. As a child, I was taught that darkness is not a good place for me to be at any time (ex. dark room, dark feelings, etc.). I continued that way of thinking and it bled over into my spiritual life. I disassociated God with darkness because of the mental imagery of what darkness meant: a place without him. But as I have grown and spiritually matured, with more maturing to do, I have learned that God uses darkness for many different purposes. Such as:

1. God can speak from the Darkness

Duet 5: 23

23 And it came to pass, when ye heard the voice out of the midst of the darkness, (for the mountain did burn with fire,) that ye came near unto me, even all the heads of your tribes, and your elders;

2. God can disguise himself in Darkness

Psalms 18: 9-12

9 He bowed the heavens also, and came down: and darkness was under his feet.

10 And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: yea, he did fly upon the wings of the wind.

11 He made darkness his secret place; his pavilion round about him were dark waters and thick clouds of the skies.

12 At the brightness that was before him his thick clouds passed, hail stones and coals of fire.

3. God can see everything, including through Darkness

Job 34: 22

22 There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.

4. God created Darkness

Isaiah 45: 7

7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

5. God can dwell in Darkness

1 Kings 8: 10-12

10 And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of the LORD,

11 So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of the LORD.

12 Then spake Solomon, The LORD said that he would dwell in the thick darkness.

Commentary on Genesis 1: 2

The Spirit of God used the waters as a mirror to reflect back to the Father his own reflection. Reread the verse carefully and see how the writer is precise in saying where the Spirit moved; on the face. Define the word face (which is used as an identifier of a person). The first mirrors made by men were and still are a spin off the first reflector outside of God himself. That reflector is water. Just as the Spirit of God moved on the face of the waters to give a reflection back to God of himself, it did so in a very particular state of conditionsthrough darkness.

Earth

Gen. 1: 9-13

9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.

10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.

11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.

12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.

*Earths purpose, the purpose of a seed (vegetation/children), day 3

Earths purpose is to be a platform for God to see his creation, recreate. The gift that keeps on giving. Sort of like a mirror that reflects the actual being. It becomes vain to fixate on the image. *This is where idolatrous thinkers have gone wrong. The image (man) has NO existence without the (1) actual BEING (2) Wisdom/intelligence of that BEING (3) willingness of the BEING to stand in the mirror. These 3 represent the elements of God called the Holy Trinity: (1) Father (2) Holy Spirit (3) Word/Jesus.

Question: Why did I align the Holy Trinity in this way?

***MIP*** Go back to Genesis 1: 1-3. God is mentioned 1st. The spirit is mentioned 2nd. God spoke 3rd, meaning and showing where the Word was used for the 1st time in the bible. Once he used Word, light came into the world.
