I, who am known to you as Jesus the Christ,have dictated this trilogy of books for your freedom andenlightenment, and more are forthcoming. They were given in theorder in which they appear in this volume, but they can be read inany order.

As for who I am, I am the same I am that iswithin each of you. That was my message when I was alive twothousand years ago, and that is my message to you today. The manyou knew as Jesus exists today in the dimension from which I amcommunicating. However, I am no longer a man or even a human, butspirit, as you are as well and as you will know yourself to beafter you leave this earth. From the dimension where I exist, I amguiding the planet and am with all who pray to me, because I sodeeply love the human race and the earth.

Please understand that, although you knew me asa man who lived in ancient times, the body and personality I hadthen was merely a costume, just as your own body is a temporarycostume. I am not bound to the persona of Jesus of Nazareth,although I often assume this persona when appearing or speaking topeople, to comply with their expectations. I exist with someindividuality in this dimension but no set persona or personality.Some may find this heretical, but so be it.

The man you knew as Jesus also exists todaywithin each of you in spirit. The consciousness that is behind alllife is no different than your own. They are one and the same. Yourbeing is meant to shine as gloriously as I was said to have shoneon resurrection day. Resurrection is a metaphor for what ispossible within every human being. You are divine.

My purpose is to bring you this very good news:You are divine and, now more than ever before in history, it ispossible to realize your divinity, which is to say your loving andpeaceful nature. Through simple awareness, inquiry, and awillingness to see the truth, you can become free of all thatcauses you to suffer and free to create the life you wish to live,which is the life the Father wishes for you as well. You are meantto be happy, and the willingness to explore and expose the falseand limiting beliefs that keep you suffering and imprisoned is thekey to your divinity and to everything you need to be happy.

I am speaking to you through this author becauseshe has the ability to transmit my words and because she has beendevoted to me in many lifetimes as a religious person. However, youdo not have to be religious or devoted to me to benefit from theseteachings. You simply need to be open to investigating the mysteryof who you are.

I have not used Christian terminology inparticular, because I am not a Christian or a Jew or a Muslim or aHindu, nor do I belong to any other religion or sect. I representand have always represented the Consciousness within you. Ireflected the Love that you are so that you could know it withinyou. That was my purpose. I did not come to be worshipped but toshow you the way to love and worship all of life.

Some will call this message new age, but thereis nothing new about it. It is the message of everyone who hasrealized Christ Consciousness within themselves, which you will doone day as well, if you havent already. Please do not put a labelon this message, as any label only causes separation, and my intentis to unite, not separate.

My message was always one of peace, notseparation, and this is my message now. Peace on earth will notcome from seeing yourself as a Christian, a Jew, a Muslim, a Hindu,or anything else, but by seeing yourself as you truly are, as I seeyou and know you, as the Father sees and knows you. When you cansee the face of God in your neighbor and love and care for yourneighbor as you would yourself, then peace will come to earth. Anybelief that interferes with that must go. It is time now to live inharmony with each other.

Some may say that these teachings are not thesame as the ones I gave long ago. But these teachings are the onesI would give today if I were alive, and they are in words that Imight use today. In the past, my voice and language was the voiceand language of those times. For now, this is the voice andlanguage I am choosing to use.

In the past, my teachings had to be couched inparables, but today they can be plainly spoken. The world is a verydifferent place, and the culture you live in is a very differentone. More importantly, consciousness has evolved and is finallyready for these words. In the past, these teachings were for thefew who might benefit. Now many can gain from them. So, I offerthem to all who are willing to consider them. May they carry youmore speedily to the peace and love you so long for anddeserve.

In this first book, we will explore themystery of choice and will. In the spiritual journey from beingimprisoned by your conditioning to being free, or fullyenlightened, choice and will play a key role. The road toenlightenment is marked by an evolving relationship to the issue ofchoice and will. Where initially, ones free will is subsumed byconditioning and people stray little from their conditioning, asspiritual evolution progresses, people learn to use their will in away that increases their peace and happiness and lessens theirsuffering. With further progress, ones free will becomesindistinguishable from divine will, or Thy will. At thatpoint, it is difficult to talk about will at all, because choosingis effortless and just happens without a sense of choosing. What isthere to choose against when there is no longer a personal will inconflict with divine will?

Some of you may be interested in reading thisbecause I, Jesus, have dictated it, while others may reject it forthe same reason. However, the authorship is not the point. Choosingto believe or not believe that I am behind this book is not assignificant as whether you choose to believe the words in it. Thatchoice is much more important, because that choice could betransformative.

You are here deciding whether or not to continuereading, so what will make that choice? What is choosing tocontinue even now and what will choose to continue or not in thenext moment? And what might cause you to put the book down? Ajudgment? A belief? A conclusion? A feeling? Where did that comefrom, and is that a good guide for making your choice? Can youtrust that? Do you trust that?

What is the basis for your choices? How do youknow what to choose? This is the mystery we will explore together.You have been given the great gift of free will. How will you useit? The answer to that question determines your experience oflife.

You have been given the gift of free will.This gift requires one thing: consciousness. By consciousness, Imean awareness of the possibility of choice. Without thisawareness, human beings would not be very different from animals,who function and survive primarily through instinct and otherconditioning. Similarly, if you are not aware that you have achoice and if you dont exercise it, you also will function mostlyaccording to your instincts and conditioning.

Human beings, like animals, are born withsoftware, to use a metaphor, which largely determines how theyrespond to life. This software is designed to optimize survival butnot other things essential to human beings, such as love, peace,happiness, and fulfillment. In fact, this software often interfereswith achieving happiness and fulfillment.
