Introduction
Dont ask yourself what the world needs; ask yourself what makes you come alive. And then go and do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive. Harold Whitman
LIFE PASSION IS a powerful thing. It can transform you from someone who is simply living life to someone who is in love with life. It can change your perspective about everything, the same way putting on sunglasses adds brilliant clarity and sparkle to a sunny day.
Finding your life passion is like finally coming home after being a stranger in a strange land. You are at peace, happily content, and fully engaged.
By finding and living your passion, life problems and difficulties dont disappear instantly; but it does change the way you perceive and handle them. When something exciting is happening in one part of your life, the problems in other areas dont seem so overwhelming. You have more emotional energy and creative resources to deal with them. And you want to deal with them quickly so you can return to doing what you love.
I know these things because I spent most of my adult life without a clear passion. It wasnt until I reached mid-life and was forced to reassess everything about my life that I realized I had to take action. My inner self was screaming so loudly for change that I couldnt take it any longer. I had to find something that made me come alive or else shrivel up and blow away.
I spent over twenty years as a successful public relations professional, helping my clients realize their own passions by positioning them for success. As the marketing and PR director for a network of career colleges, I supported students as they pursued their own career passions. My focus had always been on helping others reach their dreams and fulfill their personal callings.
