QUOTE

A nation can survive its fools, and even theambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy atthe gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries hisbanner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gatefreely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard inthe very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not atraitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wearstheir face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness thatlies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation,he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillarsof the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longerresist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.Marcus Tullius Cicero, 58 B.C. Speech in the RomanSenate

Introduction

Three women are mentioned in the Bible Bookof Revelation. The first is introduced in the letter Apostle Johnwrote to the church at Thyatira while he was exiled on the Islandof Patmos. Patmos is just off the Turkish coast, near Ephesus. Hiswords, from Christ, are described in Chapter 2, Verses 20-24. Thisis the full description of that Jezebel:

Notwithstanding I have a few things againstthee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which callethherself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commitfornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. And I gaveher space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adulterywith her into great tribulation, except they repent of theirdeeds. Then in Verse 23, he writes the warning:

And I will kill her children with death; andall the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reinsand hearts; and I will give unto every one you according to yourworks. Verse 24 concludes with encouragement and hope to avoidthis terrible danger:

But unto you I say, and unto the rest inThyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have notknown the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you noneother burden.

Now, on the surface and without further deepresearch this sounds like an actual human form woman named Jezebelcausing trouble in Thyatira by claiming to be a prophetess.Heretofore, no one has been able to find a definition ordescription of this woman biblically or historically. If she didexist as an actual woman she left no trace of herself. But, we knowsomeone claiming to be a prophet, and encouraging others to commitfornication and to eat things sacrificed to idols. Reading onlythese few verses, one would never be able to interpret who thiswoman, what this metaphor, means. Since she is not a real womanwe must search for a common metaphor to determine who Jezebelreally is. And, with more research that information is there withinthe Words of Revelation.

Before we go there, however, lets firstanalyze the purpose for those letters to the seven churches, and towhom they were targeted. Some believe they were targeted andaddressed only to those cited churches. Thats an erroneousassumption. Those letters were addressed to the churches and to allchurches for all time, and to future generations, including ourgeneration; especially our generation. These seven letters alsofunction as a table of contents for the remainder of Revelation. They give short comments of whats to be explained later inRevelation.

So, how can we determine that? Its writtenwithin the words, and some events mentioned could happen only inthe future; such as the existence of that woman Jezebel. First, lets analyze the words at the end of each of those sevenletters.

To the church at Ephesus: He that hath anear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To himthat overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is inthe midst of the paradise of God. Notice this was addressed untothe churches not just to that church at Ephesus. And, it didntspecify just those seven churches. Furthermore, this is focused ona future event, not just on events in Ephesus at that time.

To the church at Smyrna: He that hath anear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He thatovercometh shall not be hurt of the second death. This is similarto the final comment to the church at Ephesus. Its to thechurches, not just to that one church at Smyrna.

To the church at Pergamos: He that hath anear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To himthat overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and willgive him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, whichno man knoweth saving he that receiveth it. Again, this message isaddressed to the churches, not just that one church.

To the church at Thyatira: This is the letterthat introduced that woman Jezebel. Before the last verse, anotherverse indicated a future time, Verse 26: And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give the powerover the nations. Then in the end he repeats: He that hath anear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

To the church at Sardis: Again, that generalinclusion, He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saithunto the churches.

To the church at Philadelphia: In thisletter, Chapter 3, Verse 9 presents a scenario that did not andcould not exist at the time of that church. That situation hasevolved over the centuries and is predicted to take place in thefuture. That condition is when Satans forces are defeated, andthose warriors will learn to worship Gods forces: Behold, I willmake them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, andare not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worshipbefore thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. Then thatsame general invitation to all, He that hath an ear, let him hearwhata the Spirit saith unto the churches.

To the church at Laodicea: Verse 20 offersanother invitation to all, not just that church: Behold, I standat the door, and knock; if any man hear my voice, and opens thedoor, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he withme. Then the last verse is that same inclusive invitation: Hethat hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto thechurches.

Clearly, these seven letters were written byJohn from visions and Words from Christ to all churches and allpeople for generations, not just to the seven churches that existedat that time. Most of that information was an introduction to theevents and challenges that would happen to us, followers of Christ, even today; especially today with this new great challenge fromIslam. This great Islamic threat is revealed in those letters manytimes. Thats where this first chapter, next, takes us; to explainhow and why that woman Jezebel is a representation of Islam; thatsynagogue of Satan.

Chapter 1

Satans Wrath

Before we can fully explain Jezebels role asa prophetess, we must first understand the role of the other twowomen discussed in Revelation. This Jezebel was mentioned only onetime, as Jezebel, in that letter to Thyatira. The second woman whoappeared in Revelation was described in Chapter 12. This is herdescription from that chapter; the first three verses:
