INTRODUCTION

I was never vaccinated against any disease.My mother, whose family included well respected medical physicians,refused to give in to the pressure of school officials andmainstream doctors who told her in no uncertain terms that sheplaced my brother and me in harms way by not subjecting us to therecommended inoculations. However, her strong maternal instinctprevailed; she believed only in natural ways of developingresistance to disease.

When we eventually did experience some of thetypical childhood illnesses, she told us that this was a necessarypart of developing natural immunity, and we had no reason tobelieve otherwise. Neither my brother nor I have ever suffered froman infectious disease in over five decades, except for coming downwith an occasional cold.

In the early 1980s, I began researching thetheory behind the presumed need for individual and massvaccinations and uncovered serious flaws, non-truths, and outrightdeceptions in the science supporting it. Accordingly, I found noscientific merit at all to uphold the idea that vaccines somehowprotect us against disease by stimulating the production ofantibodies.

Furthermore, I learned that the data whichled to the unilateral acceptance of vaccination as the only way tocontrol infectious disease was fixed or misrepresented. Falsifiedevidence has given nearly everyone the impression that vaccineshave prevented disease epidemics. Nothing could be further from thetruth.

Take, for example, the case of the fluvaccine, which is being pushed on babies, adults and the elderlyyear in, year out. The Cochrane Collaboration regularlyreviews the scientific literature comprising new studies on theeffectiveness of flu vaccines. Yet, after having investigatedhundreds of these studies so far, there is still no shred ofevidence that the flu vaccine has protective effects compared toplacebo.

The complete lack of clinical evidence tosupport vaccination as a method of disease prevention speaks foritself. Vaccination has not only failed to prevent disease; it hasbecome one of its greatest contributors.

In other words,it reaps rich rewards for the vaccine-makers and the governmentsthey collude with to keep us sick or to have us live in fear offalling ill.

Among the many misconceptions they have thusembedded into our collective consciousness is that vaccines are aprerequisite for good health. They have therefore made generationupon generation believe that they are life-savers that bringlongevity. In this book, we shall explore the vaccination myth thathas been brilliantly wielded by drug companies, who have for morethan a century profited from our ignorance, fear andvulnerability.
