About the Authors
David DeRose, MD, MPH
Heard on more than 140 radio stations, syndicated radio show host and practicing physician, Dr. David DeRose for three decades has been helping people address, with natural therapies, disease processes. DeRose brings solid credentials as a board-certified specialist in both Internal Medicine and Preventive Medicine, in addition to holding a Master in Public Health degree, with an emphasis in Health Promotion and Health Education.
Dr. DeRoses commitment to educating the masses on optimal health strategies has taken him far beyond the radio booth and medical clinic. He has taught at the college level, held numerous seminars for health professionals and lay audiences alike, and has been featured in TV and video health series. DeRoses research has been published in peer-reviewed medical journals, including The Journal of the American Medical Association, The Annals of Epidemiology, and Preventive Medicine.
Greg Steinke, MD, MPH
As a Lifestyle Medicine Specialist, Dr. Greg Steinke has had the opportunity to help many patients reverse their blood pressure naturally. Steinke is board-certified in Family Medicine and Preventive Medicine, holding a Master in Public Health degree, with an emphasis in Public Health Nutrition. In addition to his clinic and hospital practice, Steinke regularly conducts community-based lifestyle education programs designed to reverse and improve chronic diseases such as heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, depression, and tobacco addiction.
He was part of the inaugural graduating class in the first Lifestyle Medicine program in America. His training, at Loma Linda University in California, especially prepared him to help those motivated to leave a life of sickness, medications, and helplessness for, instead, a life of vigor and vitality and with less medication. He believes people can take charge of their health and leave nearly every trace of their prior state of ill health behind.
Trudie Li, MSN, FNP
Trudie Li is a family nurse practitioner passionate about engaging others in the pursuit of a healthier lifestyle. A graduate of Loma Linda University, Trudie worked in China at Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital as Loma Linda's nursing representative. It was during the SARS epidemic there that Trudie's commitment to public health was solidified while working with the local Center for Disease Control. Since then, Trudie has regularly assisted with staff development and health education at lifestyle centers in China. Her stateside experience revolves around incorporating lifestyle education into medical-surgical nursing and family practice. Her enthusiasm is renewed with each patient's commitment to evidence-based lifestyle choices.
