With 2 books in 1 this will be a great addition to your health library. Iridology - the science of reading the eyes - dates back to the 12th century. For years, the author, LaDean Griffin studied the works of Dr. Bernard Jensen who pioneered the science 80 some years ago and brings to you a laymans guide to Iridology. The pages are filled with full color images of eyes along with detailed charts and everything you need to become proficient in Iridology. LaDean explains a simple method for reading the iris and thereby recognizing problems in the body. By pinpointing inherent weaknesses and problems within the body, a knowledge of Iridology can be valuable in determining future problems. Based on her own research and discoveries, she discusses how to successfully respond to what the eyes reveal. Before and after pictures and page after page of testimonials support her discoveries. With this volume comes her complete, additional book, Essentials of Iridology.

DEDICATION

To my father James Melvin Gibby whose philosophy I have added to my own in this book, with love and gratitude for all the truth he taught me and for the example he so lovingly and faithfully set for me.

PREFACE

To write a book on iridology and try to surpass the grand work of Dr. Bernard Jensen would indeed be presumptuous on my part. Dr. Jensen has preserved and popularized iridology for many years with a dedication and love for people, despite heavy pressures, that has been an inspiration to all of us. My purpose in writing this book is merely to add another witness to his work.

In addition, I have learned some things not only about iridology but how to relate iridology with the use of herbs and a mild food diet. The person can not only recognize improvement because of the way he feels but he can also watch the changes as they take place in the eyes. This is a marvel and a wonder to behold, for as the body heals, the eyes change like a kaleidoscope. If such results can be achieved, the logic of a mild food diet and use of herbs must be sound, and iridology must then be a truth.

The use of drugs for healing by established medical methods has too long proven ineffective. It has been previously assumed that drugs were all we needed, and in the beginning the whole idea of finding a wonder drug to solve the world's physical problems met with little resistance. Everyone liked the idea, for it took no effort merely to take a pill and settle all problems. However, thinking people everywhere in the world today have become disenchanted with this idea and the drugs themselves. Mankind is coming to the conclusion that drugs are alien to the natural physiology of man. Medical sciences quest has resulted in failure, for in that quest all the rules and physical laws of the body have been broken. Those who are thinking of looking for alternative solutions are coining a new word biological medicine and returning to the herb kingdom for the answers. However, those who are thinking even deeper are recognizing that the real answer does not lie in medicine of any kind but rather in obedience to the laws of nature. Only then will disease flee from us.

IRIDOLOGY

Iridology or iro-diagnosis had its roots centuries ago in ancient Middle East medicine. It has never reached, as far as I can determine, its full potential as a valuable diagnostic tool in the hands of skilled iridologists. Modern medicine with its marvelous optical systems developed the ability to peer through the pupil, revealing the intricate mysteries of the retina, while at the same time bypassing the external, more readily accessible iris. Clinical practitioners today are generally quite ignorant of iridology except for one sign; the arcus senilis. Yet if the doctor's questioned, (How is it that systemis hardening of the arteries shows up in the iris of the eye? How is the iris hooked up, neurophysiologically speaking, to the heart and blood vessels in the limbs?) a blank stare is the usual response. Iridology is not taught in schools of medicine in the United States but is studied, however in some foreign schools, particularly in Germany.

The science of iridology is based upon very precise anatomical and physiological mechanisms which are creator has designed for our use and benefit. Not all are yet ready to accept the concept. But for those who have, iridology has become a wonderful blessing in their lives since these eye-signs are often the first objective changes indicative of a disease process. (You should be aware that pigeon breeders have been depending on eye-signs in their prize racers for many years.)

I am so pleased to write this introduction to this important, new book by my dear friend LaDean Griffin, a most sincere and enlightened lady. LaDean's purpose in her writing and lecturing is to share her knowledge and understanding with her brothers and sisters everywhere, so they might help themselves and their loved ones in maintaining rich, abundant health and promoting healing through natural methods. LaDean has soul and she teaches from the heart, advocating all safe therapies which help our natural abilities in health considerations. Thank you LaDean for a most provocative and challenging volume. Many will call you blessed because of it.

CHAPTER 1

A LOOK INSIDE

Pitifully Poor Politics

It's pitifully poor politics when pretentious politicians and pilfering private promoters purposely prevent or postpone public protection from possible pillage and potential plunder while they painstakingly perpetrate plans for personal plutocracy What a painful preposterous price the people pay for such pinheaded pigishness

--- And,

As long as we tolerate such black and blighting blunders we'll continue to be in the red. So, for freedom sake and our own, let's be Real, United Americans in Our United States.

J. Melvin Gibby 1964

Think

America First!

Aside from the fact that people get better on my programs, of all the subjects I teach, iridology is probably the study which proves my theories more than any other single thing. As people watch the change for the better in their general health, they are amazed to watch the changes taking place in the iris of their eyes. It is both a thrilling and almost magical transformation that occurs; an exciting new demonstration of the art of healing or at least it is new to modern man. Iridology: the practice of analyzing the inside of the body by the iris of the eyes. It dates back to the 12th century, and has probably been known by some great physicians as far back as the beginning of time.

My purpose is to teach some of the main things to look for and how to use herbs, mild foods and vitamins in conjunction with what is discovered in the eyes. The study of iridology could be an important facet of your life. We have been presented with a grave spectacle of physical degeneration increasing daily around us as a result of fear tactics through the wide use of drugs. It has not been without reason that these dire results have caused such general dependence upon the doctor.

As we have watched the jubilation over the wonder drugs sink into the decay of degenerative disease they cause, we can see that to try to find the answers ourselves, when it is almost too late, is a lonely ordeal.

Reading through an old book on iridology dated 1924, I suddenly thought that the medical doctor who wrote it had never in his wide experience ever seen the kind of eyes we see today. The eyes we see today since 1924 and the 50 year use of drug therapy, look shattered, filled with all manner of degeneration not known in 1924. We even see in the photos taken in my class is the most seriously degenerative diseases of old age showing upon the eyes of babies and young children. Another 50 years of drugs and we will not have to worry about the population explosion. On the contrary we will have to worry about taking care of all the blithering idiots and sick old babies we will create in future generations. We now have more retarded or maimed children or children with birth defects than ever before in history. The proportion of Americans wearing glasses has also increased. Then we have the audacity to proclaim the great advances of medical science. Thinking people everywhere are searching for alternative solutions to their health problems and finding them among the natural, simple and inexpensive medicines God has provided in the herb kingdom. Medicine rip-offs by doctors and pharmacists are costing the United States taxpayers $3 billion a year, says a recent newspaper. But what about the rip-off that inevitably occurs through our being a drug oriented society? What about the drug caused diseases we contend with today? An article came out in a Los Angeles paper by a large medical hospital which is trying to overcome the problems of errors made in giving medication. It said that the average doctor is only familiar with a tiny percentage of the 7000 principal drugs in the medicinal arsenal. As a result, wrong dosages and wrong drugs are used. It was stated that 100,000 serious errors are made daily in American hospitals in preparing, prescribing and dispensing medications. It was further stated that these mistakes are causing the deaths of thousands of hospital patients every year. Many patients are dying who don't need to die, and others are not recovering rapidly enough because of the errors and not receiving proper medication for their disease. Their reasoning was that the method to help correct the errors was close security programs to safeguard against nurses, doctors and pharmacists making these errors.
