Thank you and congratulations for purchasing Matches: The Tinder Book for Men. When I first set off to write this book, I thought it would be a breeze. Truth is, it wasnt.

I have scoured the internet, studied how the app works, worked with naturals on Tinder, tested all types of openers and approaches, been on more Tinder dates than I can count and broke it down to these systems I am giving you in this book.

Besides trying to create, test, and dissect material, another obstacle was Tinder itself. Tinders platform has changed dramatically with each new version. When Tinder first came out, you could see when women were last active, and your matches would be front loaded within the first twenty profiles you see. Then they introduced moments and the paid version. As Im updating this now, the current version is 5.0.

So rather than concentrate on the new bells and whistles in the latest version, this book is more focused on the fundamentals. Dont worry, I will be sharing updates on my blog at www.TheTinderBook.com/blog and in my newsletters.

Tinder can be extremely frustrating for average guys. We get to see hot girls in our area that we didnt even know existed, but we can only message them after a match.

It can be a downer for most guys. The good news is you dont have to be a six-foot-three model to get results. (Personally, I always somehow managed to take bad photos. That was one of the main reasons I never tried any type of online dating before Tinder.)

One common misconception that a lot of guys have is thinking of game in general as a linear, rigid process. Getting good with women is more of an art. Just like in art, each individual artist must find his own style.

At our live workshops, we work with every type of guy of all ages. We have proven that most shortcomings are mostly self-limiting bullshit beliefs. I personally have watched guys with handicaps pick up some of the hottest girls in the venue.

How can we meet quality women on Tinder?

Tinder is set up so that you require a match before you can chat to girls. Thats the thing, how can you game girls if you cant talk to them? You cant. To be successful on Tinder, the first thing you need is quality matches. Guys with some of the best game have been frustrated with Tinder. Getting good with women has less to do with looks and more to do with who you are as a man.

I set out on learning as much as I can about Tinder, so that I can break it down for all different guys, at all different skill levels.

Dating and meeting women is after all a sales process. We will be launching a product. You are the product. Tinder is your platform. Hot local girls are your potential clients. Your profile is your package.

If you want to generate good sales, you must understand how, when, and why your customers buy. In this book, I will walk you through marketing a desirable product step-by-step.

In marketing, the first thing we need is traffic. Many people are on Tinder that would not be available to talk with otherwise. Understanding how to promote your product (you) on Tinder is imperative. You can have the best product out there, but if people arent seeing it, or your packaging is subpar, whats the point?

The goal of this book is to teach you how to optimize your Tinder experience. These techniques can be used on other dating sites and apps, and most of the material is useful in real life.

Understand that there is no universal approach to any game - each girl has a different blueprint. However, there are patterns. To get good results on Tinder (and game in general) you must be able to recognize these patterns, and learn sub-communications. Every Tinder profile, including yours and that of every woman on Tinder, is telling a story other than the actual photos and text.

You must understand subtext, not only in your own profile and messaging, but in the profile and messaging of the women in which youre interested.

Knowing what her profile is saying will give you a huge advantage on Tinder. Conversely, understanding what your profile is saying will get you a lot more results.

I will go over a few different types of approaches on Tinder. First, decide on what overall subtext (theme) you want to set, and then set up your profile accordingly.

Use this book as a general road map to get results on Tinder.

This is not a Tinder routines manual, although you will see routines throughout the screenshots here. The goal is to see a pattern or formula in routines.

There is no way to find out Tinders exact algorithm, but by studying how these types of social apps work, I have broken down behavior patterns that these apps track. I met Rob about 10 years ago during a work conference in Las Vegas. We were both new instructors with a dating company called Love Systems and we were put in the same group to teach about a dozen guys how to attract women in the hottest clubs on the strip. Rob was one of those guys that you think you know everything about upon first glance. An Italian American with a thick Jersey accent, slicked back hair, nice clothes all in black and moved with a cocky swagger. He looked like the kind of character that Tony Soprano would secretly murder after finding out he was dating his daughter for no reason other than he looked like an asshole. Rob wasnt what I expected though. He was intelligent and, much like myself, knew he was playing the villain, and fully embraced it. He was self-aware enough to get the humor in his own exaggerated image, and he anticipated every preconceived notion people had of him and used it to his advantage. Rob got it, and I immediately liked him because of that.

We found out that even though we were from two different countries, we both came from rough places where a quick wit, and quicker fists would get you farther than any thinly veiled bravado. Interestingly enough the place we were born even had the exact same name. Within a few minutes of meeting each other we were busting each others balls and acting like old friends. To this day Rob is one of only a few guys who can make me fall over and literally cry laughing. Hes one of the funniest guys I know.
