Have you ever gotten breathless before from a beautiful face, for I see you there, my dear.
Rumi
Beauty is not something put together by man. Beauty is when there is complete self-abandonment, a total relinquishing of the self, the me, with all its aches and loneliness, with all its despairs, anxieties, and fears. Then you will live in this world as a human being.
Krishnamurti
Beauty! Wasnt that what mattered? Beauty was hardly a popular ideal at that jumpy moment in history. The masses had been desensitized to it, the intelligentsia regarded it with suspicion. To most of her peers, beauty smacked of the rarefied, the indulgent, the superfluous, the effete... In a sense, beauty was the ultimate protest, and, in that it generally lasted longer than an orgasm, the ultimate refuge. The Venus de Milo screamed No! at evil, whereas the Spandex stretch pant, the macram plant holder were compliant with it... Of course, it wasnt required of beauty that it perform a social function. That was what was valuable about it.
Tom Robbins
All women are beautiful in the ways that we are beautiful. We all have our unique ways of our own beauty.
Alicia Keys
A lily or a rose never pretends, and its beauty is that it is what it is.
Krishnamurti
Beauty is life when life unveils her holy face.
But you are life and you are the veil.
Kahlil Gibran
Foreword
I first met Nadine through her productsglass bottles filled with heaven. I was transformed by the beauty she created, and soon I fell in love with her as a person.
We met at a hotel one winter evening in Toronto. I was shooting a television show, and she was flying home from speaking at a health symposium. By chance, we aligned in this brief moment and were able to spend some time together. We sat for hours drinking green juice and talking endlessly. I wanted to know everything about Nadine. Her beauty is intoxicating, yes, but when she speaks, it is very clear that she is a leader in the health and wellness movement.
We spoke until the wee hours of the morning, and a deep friendship formed instantly. It was evident within minutes that I had so much to learn from her.
Nadine is one of the warmest, smartest women I have ever met. Her knowledge of health and her care for the natural world are a much-needed feminine pillar in the times we are living in.
When so many businesses are aligned with only profit instead of values, I see Nadine as not only a maverick in the health/holistic movement but also a leader in what a truly conscious business looks like.
She is a steward of nature and of self-initiated wholeness, steeped in the practice and flow of connecting to ones own innate and natural wisdom.
I use every product Nadine makes. Through my friendship with her, I have begun to see my life in metaphor with plant wisdom. When I feel lost and need grounding, I reach for my frankincense. When the world feels heavy and my heart is aching, I pour rose geranium on my chest. This awareness has come as a direct result of knowing Nadine and using her products as a way to support my health and the health of my family. As I reconnect with this knowledge, I bow in gratitude to Nadine. When people stop me and ask, What is that oil youre wearing?, I share Nadine, and in doing so I know they are headed toward a soulful connection to nature and to themselves.
