Quit Porn and Get Rich: The Unspoken Rule of Successful People: summary, description and annotation

We offer to read an annotation, description, summary or preface (depends on what the author of the book "Quit Porn and Get Rich: The Unspoken Rule of Successful People" wrote himself). If you haven't found the necessary information about the book — write in the comments, we will try to find it.

Many situations we face require a particular predisposition and specific behavior. We often cant behave properly, not only because of a lack of awareness, but also because of limitations posed by our bodies. It is very interesting how much depends on the well-being and physical fitness of your body. Unfortunately, many people dont know much about the processes that drive it. I will do my best to make sure that in this book you learn about important issues related to your physical well-being and how to use them in practice.

Authorities on the subject:

Any failure to appreciate the impact of sexual arousal on ones own behavior is likely to lead to inadequate measures to avoid such situations Professor Dan Ariely

So strong and impelling is the desire for sexual contact that men freely run the risk of life and reputation to indulge it. When harnessed, and redirected along other lines, this motivating force maintains all of its attributes of keenness of imagination, courage, etc., which may be used as powerful creative forces in literature, art, or in any other profession or calling, including, of course, the accumulation of riches. Napoleon Hill

Willpower is what separates us from the animals. Its the capacity to restrain our impulses, resist temptation - do whats right and good for us in the long run, not what we want to do right now. Its central, in fact, to civilization. Professor Roy F. Baumeister

This book [Quit Porn and Get Rich] is needed and should prove very interesting to a lot of men especially. Mary Sharpe, CEO of The Reward Foundation

This is not yet another motivational book, which bookstore shelves are lined with, providing nothing but a temporary boost to your mood. This book describes the real impact of eroticism and pornography on your performance in everyday life. It also explains how overcoming these habits can vastly increase the chances of success in many areas. Your life without unnecessary eroticization can be active and focused. Do you know how successful people approach this problem? How pornography can prevent them from achieving their goals? How they find motivation and whether pornography can destroy it?

In the book you will find:

  • how using pornography affects your self-esteem and confidence
  • how using pornography affects your motivation and self-control
  • how using pornography affects your courage, approach to negotiation, and risk handling
  • how using pornography affects your relationships and social intelligence
  • how using pornography physically changes your brain and the processes responsible for the features mentioned above
  • and finally, how using pornography limits your success.

The book cites a number of scientific studies, situations from business life, and the universal rules that govern the world of finance. Although the book discusses the problem of pornography mainly in terms of the subject of entrepreneurship and getting rich, the tips contained in it will be helpful in professional life for every career path, and for all those who want to derive the greatest possible joy and satisfaction from life. In addition, in the book you will find information on how to definitively part ways with unnatural sexual stimulation, and how to use this problem to your advantage.

Your life can be rich in experience, rich in professional successes, rich in kindness to others, rich in family happiness, and materially rich as well. Or you can spend it in front of the computer, watching strangers copulating.

This book is based on 55 scientific studies.

Dedication
I dedicate this book in memory of all the great ideas and opportunities wasted as a result of watching porn.
Foreword
We all want to get rich. Every day, we pass jaw-dropping, luxurious cars in the street. We keep up with the latest technological innovations and we desire every new gadget that appears on the market. We imagine traveling to the four corners of the earth. We watch professional athletes and we want the same lifestyle they enjoy. We admire the mighty of this world and wonder what secret they know that allowed them to get where they are.
Then we each return to our homes and ritually devote ourselves to watching porn on the Internet, forgetting about our dreams. Visiting porn sites and masturbating after schoolor in the morning, when classes start a little laterbecome routine for us. In the very beginning, with fresh excitement, we shared the best links and commented on newly discovered actresses. Later, it became as interesting as brushing your teeth: it became a daily habit which went on for years.
None of us even suspected that we had a chance to make our dreams come true and to someday get where we once wished so badly to be. That vision had become so distant that we didnt even think about making an effort to realize it. I wonder how our lives would have turned out if we had known that the enthusiasm for fulfilling our dreams would be eroded with every porno movie we watched.
1. Introduction
Life is short, dont waste it watching someone elses.
I am almost thirty years old. I am an investment banker (mergers and acquisitions) and a businessman. Every day, I deal with transactions for millions of dollars and I meet with serious entrepreneurs and investors. My responsibilities include selecting opportunities on the capital market, persuading very influential people to take advantage of these opportunities, and then collecting commission from the transactions. After hours, I invest in capital markets, develop my own start-up and help people execute their ideas. I often take on very large responsibilities and major risks. Most importantly, I love new ventures, traveling, andabove allI love life, people, and myself.
However, a few years ago, before I discovered certain mechanisms and rules governing my body, I doubted that I would ever be happy and satisfied with my life. I was a lonely, shy grouch who didnt see the point of living. Under the mask of a happy-go-lucky guy and a hedonist, there was a lost little boy, constantly plagued by insecurities about his appearance, background, and material status. I did not have a job, any useful knowledge, or prospects. I squandered most of my time on simple entertainment, including pornography. In fact, pornography became the only pleasure I could find in life. When I turned off the videos with naked ladies, the world would become gray again. At some point, I wanted something more than just naked women on my computer screen and failure in almost every aspect of my life. I started to look for the causes of my defeat and I finally realized how grave my weaknesses were. Because I was able to name them and to overcome them, I gained the energy and the ability to deal with many of lifes problems.
Many situations we face require a particular predisposition and specific behavior. We often cant behave properly, not only because of a lack of awareness, but also because of hindrances posed by our bodies. It is very interesting how much depends on the well-being and physical fitness of your body. Unfortunately, many people dont know much about the processes that drive it. I will do my best to make sure that thanks to this book you will learn about important issues related to your physical well-being and how to use them in practice.
Each human body is slightly different and feels differently, more or less intensely. The sensitivity to stimuli, active hormones, or psychoactive substances varies, but general laws and dependencies are shared and usually occur to the same degree. Nature created the healthily and properly functioning body of a man in a similar way. The human body strives to survive, procreate, and protect itself and its loved ones. These are the basic human needs that Abraham Maslow clearly defined in his pyramid of needs. However, eroticization, pornography, and masturbation can significantly disrupt this hierarchy or slow down the progression to higher levels, i.e., to a feeling of belonging, respect, fulfillment and realizing ones potential.
Naturally success will not equate to achieving wealth for everyone It can - photo 2
Naturally, success will not equate to achieving wealth for everyone. It can also mean living a happy, satisfying life, starting a family, or making achievements in a scientific, athletic, or professional career. Succumbing to sexual stimuli too often can lead us away from all these things. I describe the traits necessary to achieve success, which may be impaired by a habit of using pornography. In general, what I have in mind is how the drive for success works in effective and influential people and how it can be inadvertently reduced.
We have different predispositions, ambitions, and goals. Striving for perfection and achieving above-average results is not an obligation. We do not have to prove to ourselves and others what we are capable of. But what if we do not really know what we are capable of? What if we have not trusted our own skills so far? What if our natural abilities can allow us to attain much more, but we subconsciously suppress them? What if supernormal stimuli lead to helplessness, distraction, bitterness, laziness, and a lack of motivation? What if an excess of sexual stimulation causes a lack of self-confidence, fear, shyness, and a weak will? What if all this is hindering you from achieving success? Dont get me wrong, I dont believe that turning off porn is a recipe for success. I know people who have never watched porn but are unhappy with how their lives are going. However, you can be sure that excessive eroticization only seems like a trivial obstacle on the way to a happy life. Your life can be rich in experience, rich in professional successes, rich in kindness to others, rich in family happiness, and materially rich as well. Or you can spend it in front of the computer, watching strangers copulating.
