Through her writing and the many fanciful illustrations, Lee demonstrates that producing a business plan can indeed be a creative endeavor. While the book covers all the basics of how to put together a business plan, something found in several other competing titles, getting to the end product will likely be a lot more fun with Lees approach.

I promise to keep this short, because I know youre here to absorb Jennifer Lees brilliant new book, and I want you to get to it ASAP.
I use the word absorb rather than read intentionally. I could just as easily have gone with consume, devour, or, better yet, relish. Sure, Jennifer offers you the standard words-formed-into-sentences, but she also makes it easy for you to see and deeply understand what shes talking about through whimsical illustrations. As a result, youre able to truly internalize the ideas in this book and there are many.
Im not sure why its taken so long for authors to realize how many people are visual learners and/or right-brain thinkers. Sometimes words just arent enough. Fortunately for us, Jennifer is way ahead of the curve and knows that the two sides of the brain work best together. She provides both written and graphic ways to digest the material, so you can put your new insights into action immediately.
I love owning businesses. I love making money. Im sure you do too. But much of the work we need to do to be successful in business is boring (and most business books, even more so). Writing out processes boring. Writing proposals really boring. Basic accounting lets not even go there (at least, for 99.98 percent of all humanity). Again, it is our good fortune that Jennifer makes much of these necessary business practices fun, really fun, like that time I played a practical joke on the librarian, Mean Mrs. Manga (though Ill deny it til the day I die).
So, if you a own a spa, or do financial planning, or develop software, or run a large construction company, or tie elaborately shaped balloons for a living, and typically feel shut down when you read a business book, youll be relieved to find a resource that speaks your right-brain language. You will love the visual play sheets. Theyll spark your creativity as you map out key growth activities like improvements and innovations in your products and services, launch plans, and money-making methods.
