Acknowledgments
I would like to acknowledge my mother, Vada Swick Hagee, whose life of absolute devotionto Jesus Christ was the guiding light of my life. God placed in her hands the chiselthat shaped every aspect of my life. I have become what my mother taught me to be!
I would also like to acknowledge the members of Cornerstone Church, whose love andprayers have sustained me through four decades of ministry. May the blessings ofthe Lord rest upon each of you and those you love!
Remember this: Your marriage can be a better marriage, or it can be a bitter marriage. The choice is entirely up to you. Do not allow your past to control your future. You will never conquer or change what you refuse to confront.

CONTENTS
W ELCOME TO THE most exciting book on the mystery of marriage you will ever readWhatEvery Man Wants in a Woman; What Every Woman Wants in a Man.
Why is this book onmarriage different from the other books youve read? Most books are written fromthe authors point of view. They are written from his experiences, his beliefs, andthe unlimited research he has done on a particular topic.
This book is not written from my point of view, but from yours! I have surveyed thousandsof men and women and asked them to write down the top ten things they want in a marriagepartner. I am writing this book from the mans point of view as represented by thosesurveys. Diana will be writing to women from the womans point of view.
TEN THINGS MEN WANT IN A WOMAN
The following ten statements reflect the results from the thousands of men surveyed. Here is what a man wants in a woman.
He wants sexual fulfillment.
He wants a recreational playmate.
He wants a beautiful wife.
He wants a committed homemaker.
He wants admiration.
He wants a woman of moral virtue.
He wants someone with a sense of humor.
He wants intelligence.
He wants someone he can totally trust.
He wants someone who is absolutely honest.
The story is told of a chemistry professor who was a world-class scholar in his field. His academic awards adorned the walls of his university office as evidence of histremendous academic accomplishments.
The chemistry professor decided to write a book about love and marriage. After toilingover the manuscript for months, he proudly laid the finished product on his publishersdesk, beaming with pride in his new accomplishment.
The publisher read the manuscript, and to the horror of the professor, announcedthat he would not publish it. When the professor was informed of this decision, hepounded his fists furiously on his publishers oak desk, shouting until his faceturned crimson: I want to know why youve rejected my manuscript on the principlesof marriage.
The publisher responded firmly but kindly, Professor, you are a world-class chemistwhose life has been in the chemistry lab. You have never been married. You know nothingabout love and romance. You have never had a serious date. You know nothing aboutsexual relationships or raising children. Write about something you know.
I am the pastor of eighteen thousand people and have been in the ministry for forty-sixyears. Much of this book will be gleanings from the pain, agony, and success ofhundreds of these precious people whom I have known over the decades. They are peoplejust like you, and they have battled through the same crises you are now facing.I have created composite stories that will illustrate the marriage issues I havediscovered from my years of counseling. The names and details of the stories arenot real, but the issues in marriage these stories illustrate are very real andmay give you hope for being able to resolve the negative issues you are facing inyour own marriage relationship.
